For anyone getting the naming asset issue; make sure you name your models in cc and blender to the same name. Also, MAKE SURE that you TICK OFF THE FIRST FRAME IN BINDING POSE. Most issues were coming from there.
However, I cannot get the transparency working. If I have the merge opacity option ticked, it completely messes up the textures. If that option is ticked off, the textures are ok, but the hair and anything that has opacity is completely gone.
Also, the toon character creator presets just straight up mess up the textures, so the only way left to try is to somehow conjoin the uvs and bake bake over the models. If anyone has a solution would be greatly appreciated! Enjoy making characters guys!

Yes, you can. That's one of my main reasons of excitement in regards to Wonder Studio, even without a mocap suit or head mounted camera rig, you can get decent mocap data from just one video.

I follow all the instructions but when I validate the Json file it doesn't appear. Nor does the blender file appear in the new folder created. What could be happening?

They are working on a solution for custom models. I tried a custom character that I imported into CC4, but the above workflow didn't translate as well. It seems to work best with native CC4 characters.

I went wrong somewhere. It will not validate and I get "Add on file meta json does not exist".
I’m having a weird issue, when I hit the convert button the body skin comes back shifted…. The face is on the torso and there’s no eyes.
They are still working out some bugs, but you can Try unchecking "Merge Opacity to Diffuse Texture", and re-export from CC4.

Not that I am aware of. Currently, there is no open source equivalent to Wonder Studio, that I have seen yet.

It works best with Blender 3.4. Script hasn't been updated yet for 3.6
