For a latin family having a famous daughter but not being able to tell anybody must be the worst nightmare.

Older generations never understand what the younger generations find amazing. But show them something not nearly as impressive in an older medium and they freak out.
@@LaughingOrange The reason is simply that they measure "importance" by that is shown on the medias they know. Most boomers don't understand twitch and the internet, so for them being in any way or form famous in the internet means nothing. They don't understand how much the media is shaped at the moment by the internet

It's a bit sad that her parents, who I'm sure are very proud, can't even tell their friends and loved ones what their daughter has accomplished. It doesn't take away from their pride in her I'm sure but it must suck to not be able to tell anyone for the sake of helping Mouse stay anonymous.
From what I understand is that it's quite likely that her relatives would spread the news and dox her just as fast. Last thing she needs are false friends and stalkers thinking she's super rich and whatnot.
It might suck a little bit, but I'm glad they're at least internet savvy enough to know how important one's anonymity is online.
You have to remember her mum calls mouseys twitch streams "her little show" but now to see it in the newspaper, that she can hold in her hands and read, it is amazing to her, even though mouse has possibly more viewers than the paper has readers.
Back in the day, being in the news papers was a high honor... Unless you were a criminal
or in the obituaries
