A part of me can see being scared to leave her, but wanting to find some happiness in life. Cheating is awful, but it’s because of the betrayal between the person you love and trust. I don’t think she cares about him moreso than the power dynamic she has over him. Finding out he found someone else I can see her doing what she can to get more control in the situation again.
