- A Tribute to Oakland Raiders WR Tim Brown: G.O.A.T-Hope you Enjoy it RaiderNation! I really hope he gets inducted into the H.O.F soon! Damn, I miss him! When you say Pro you should think of Tim Brown. He never complained and always was humble! Nobody ever did what Tim Brown did in the game, and I'm not sure anyone ever will. Jump over for more on Brown's HOF resume -
Players are either great at being a punt returner or great at being a receiver-not both. Desmond Howard, Dante Hall, Joshua Cribbs, Deven Hestner, Jermaine Lewis...the list goes on. How he put these kind of numbers while being a full time punt returner for 9+ seasons is unreal. To give you an idea, the greatest punt returner to date is Brian Mitchell, his career punt return average was 10.4. Tim Brown's average was 10.2. Even rival fans have to tip their hats to this man.
Brown is fourth all-time in both catches and yards; he is sixth in receiving touchdowns, and he holds the record for most consecutive games with two or more receptions.
When you factor in his return yardage, Brown is fifth all-time in all-purpose yards! The fact that Brown is not in the Hall is absurd. - Sport
Tim Brown #81 Raiders Hall of famer !!!
Best!
Tim Brown was amazing. It's ridiculous that he ain't in the HOF already
Best
After years of snubbed,Tim finally made it congrats to you! GO RAIDERS!
MR Raider himself Oakland will always love Tim Brown he was my Fav player growing up next to Charles Woodson but Tim brown will always be my fav player reason I became a raider was because of brown !! Happy he got into the HOF
Had this man had a decent quarterback during the first three-quarters of his career, he'd have torn past Randy Moss and Terrell Owens on the all-time lists, second only to the Jerry Rice. Extremely talented, athletic, and fun-to-watch player!
In all fairness, Brown did put up more receptions than Moss or Owens.
My favorite Raider! I grew up with this guy. Oh and bye the way, the Raiders will be back and sooner than they think...
I cried when I found out he got elected into the HOF.
The man who made me a raider for life!! raider nation!! Thx for the up load gave me goose bumps reliving that moment and Tim browns career. The greatest receiver ever!!!
GREATEST OF ALL TIME.
My favorite Raider of all time
I had him on my fantasy league 3 yrs in a row. One year I drafted Curtis Martin last pick of the draft, that was my biggest steal ever.
Best Tim Brown Highlights
This man was a amazing player. It is a shame he isn't in the hall of game yet!
Ya tim brown!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My all time favorite Raider
Oakland loves you touchdown timmy brown!! My favorite player ever #81>than your favorite receiver
WOW, great video. I was born in 94' so I grew up watching Tim Brown.Watching him play back then was phenomenal! He deserves to be in the H.O.F so hopefully one day he will get whats his. Tim Brown in my opinion, the GREATEST RAIDER OF ALL TIME!
we need to make sure he goes to the hall of fame next season
Third down.... Tim Brown... my favorite wr
Best all time raider. Great video.
TIM BROWN!!! HAPPY BDAY!!!!
Greatest receivers in the history of the NFL......in my opinion 1Jerry Rice 2Tim Brown. Work ethic, longevity, and CLASS !!!
got tears in my eyes....
I got spoiled by this guy as a kid. I thought 1000-yd WRs grew on trees. Quietly went about his work, year in and year out. Mr Raider.
great vid one of the greatest receivers to ever play the game
LONG OVERDUE. MADE THE FINAL CUT TONIGHT. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GREAT TIM BROWN NOW AN NFL HOF.
When I think of the Raiders, I think of Tim Brown, taped fingers up, as if he's getting ready to box, his eyes on his QB, one foot in front of the other, his breathing slowed....then the hike and TB's hands move up and down rapidly as his feet do stutter step or two, the CB is frozen, and TB turns toward the middle of the field to make the catch...Classic.
Man nice video music and everything and yeh he should be in HOF
Tim Brown is my favorite reciever of all time and is definitely underated... one of the best players to EVER put on the silver & black.
it's cool there playing Tuco's song from the Good the Bad and the Ugly
miss this guy
luv it....
Hall of Famer no doubt about it.
I miss the NFL.
CONGRATS TO ONE OF THE MOST SKILLED WR'S OF ALL TIME. MR TIM BROWN YOU WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN IN THE H.O.F YEARS AGO. I THINK I SPEAK FOR RAIDER FANS AND JUST FANS OF GREAT PLAYERS EVERYWHERE WHEN I SAY IT'S ABOUT DAM TIME!!!!
it's a got dayum shame that he isn't in the hall of fame yet. He and Chris Carter should have been first ballot
I love Tim Brown and Jerry Rice
49ers fan here, so no bias towards Tim Brown from me. However, it isn't needed... the GUY is HOF material easily. Anyone in the 1,000 reception and 100TD club belongs in the HOF....that's what it exists for. The best of the best. Tim Brown was one of the best.
much respect for that comment
My idol
He wasnt as mystique as Branch, Blinktoff or Casper, he was quiet and he PLAYED the game like a MAN
Thanks man!!!
MY RAIDER NATION FAMILY WE HEADING FOE S 4th Ring
The epitome of a PRO
Tim Brown should be in the HOF
Best!
My Favorite Raider of all time!!!
Man I wish he could coach our receivers. All those June moves... route running and catching skills. They need his coaching bad man.
Bears fan for Tim Brown!
He was a Beast without a hof QB
Niner fan here. I absolutely hate the Raiders. But the fact that this guy is not in the HOF amazes me. the guy was an absolute MONSTER. anyone who even heard of the Raiders in the 90's automatically said Tim Brown.
congratulations. Well Deserved and Long Overdue
Tom Flores should be in hall of fame
GOAT
Over 14,000 receiving yards (2nd all time). Over 1000 receptions (3rd all time). 100 TD catches (T-3rd all time). No disrespect to Jerry Rice, but if Montana and Young were Raiders, Tim would have Rice's records and widely be considered the G.O.A.T. It's amazing what Brown did with the QB's that were throwing to him. It's a sin he isn't in the H.O.F yet.
Same here!
The first song was Ecstasy of Gold
G.O.A.T. #81
Week in and week out for 16 years he ran the same route and they still couldn’t stop him.
Congrats to Tim Brown for making the HOF. He truly deserves it although I think Cliff Branch deserves to be in the HOF as much if not more.
all time raider that i had a chance to see to bad he couldnt walk out with a couple rings
next year he will be in
Tim Brown is awesome back in the day until he went to pro football hall of fame but people think that he will be missed in Oakland for along time I grew up watching him on t.v. he was different than any wide receiver because he went to a team that had history I'm referring to the Oakland Raiders lol
In 1988 the Raiders were in Los Angeles not in Oakland until the 90's when I was in the 4th grade when he was drafted by the team itself
Imagine the stats he would have put up with even decent consistent QB play and a legit #2 across from him
**At time of his retirement**
-1094 receptions 3rd all time
-14,934 yards 2nd all time
-100 TDs 3rd all time
-oldest player to ever return a punt for a TD
-oldest player to ever record 12+ receptions in a single game
-9 time pro bowler
-NFL record 10 consecutive seasons with at least 75 receptions
-NFL record for consecutive starts by a wide receiver: 176
-Was not a starter until his 5th year in the league
-had about 16 different QBs throwing to him and only ONE was ProBowler/MVP, and that was late in his career.
Go on, continue telling me how "peyton's target" got screwed. Only 2 receivers should have ever went in before tim brown, and thats Rice and carter. sure as hell not Reed. Imagine what he could have done with those HoF QBs, and not Beurlein, Shroeder, Evans, Marinovich, Hostetler(who was really good those 2 years), Hobert, George, etc. Fuck the HoF for passing this man over AGAIN
And heisman trophy winner too
Larry Wright
yeah but the nfl doesnt give 2 shits about college accolades. The HoF is such a crock of shit. Michael Irvin has sub-Tim Brown numbers, and is in because he has 3 rings, so they say "Rings will get you in the HoF" yet Charles Haley has won more Rings than anyone in history, and still isnt in
Tim Arthurs Tim Brown made the 1990s all decade team as well.
Tim Arthurs I believe the HOF has a Raider bias as well
The raiders need to retire his number he is the best player to ever wear the #81
THE HARDEST PLAYER FROM THE RAIDERS
Ennio Morricone - L'Estasi Dell'oro (Bandini Remix) is the name of the first song...
I used the original ecstasy of gold beginning then used the remix. Also added more to it.
PLEASE hurry up and put Tim Brown in the HOF!!! Along with Ken Stabler, Jack Tatum, Dave Dalby, Greg Townsend, Tom Flores (1st Hispanic QB, 1st Hispanic Head Coach, 2 Super Bowl wins as Head Coach), Rod Martin (should also have a Super Bowl MVP for 3 int's vs Eagles) and Lester Hayes...I'm sure I'm forgetting some too...
great video, tim brown def hof, also whats the song u used in the middle of the video? after ecstasy of gold
Name of the second musical score? Great video for one of my personal favorites.
Tim Muthafuckin Brown #HOF
Owned the middle of the feild fearless and finess, Charles woodson and him should have a Ring together they earned it and tuck rule stole it from, it sucked as a fan but that shit had to hurt them , two the best on the Gridiron!
Tim Brown's two main Qb's - Jeff Hostetler and Rich Gannon. They were underrated Qbs; but, still, that's essentially what he had to work with.
I always wonder what makes him so great? The best I can see is he used slants really well. Wr's use slants, but most get hit. Somehow, most of the time, he didn't get hit. Yes, he could get up top, but slants seemed to be his bread and butter.
Jerry Rice west coast offense same slant stuff
Tim Brown wasn't in west coast for the majority of his career.
Didn't have Montana or young throwing to him and still put up numbers similar to rice. Didn't start his first year and got injured. With his ability if he had a h.o.f qb throwing to him his numbers would much better.
Marcos Lopez if Brown played in San fran. and Rice played for the Raiders their whole careers, Brown would have put up Rice's numbers and Rice would not have had the numbers he did in San Fran. even when Rice was in Oakland, it was with the best quarterback Tim Brown got to play with.
rich gannon was the mvp one time...and the HOS was a pro bowler....pretty good☺
Him and Sterling Sharpe are my two favorite receivers. What's the name of the first song btw?
tim brown HOF this coming from a redskin fan!!!!!!!!
Andre Reed gets in before Brown... its a TRAVESTY!! The Hall is holding a grudge with the one of the best!! BROWN HOF 2015!!
Tim brown did it without those gloves that all the reciever's use today. A real reciever who depended on his catching ability and not a pair of gloves that even a 7 year old girl could use and catch footballs with.
He should be in the hall of fame already Tim brown > cris carter and the bills receive I forget his name
Why would Callahan sabotage the Super Bowl and rob Tim Brown of the ultimate prize.
You should re-name the video to, "Timmy Owned the Bronco's Secondary".
Todd Christensen, Ray Guy, Cliff Branch, Steve Wisniewski, Phil Villapiano and even Bo Jackson could also be worthy...
this man should have been in the HOF years ago! how is an amazing player like Brown not in yet, while that buck tooth lisping fool who retired thee year after Brown is in already? screw the NFL! damn popularity contest.
Just think what he could have done with a steve young or joe montana for a QB. He never had a great QB and he put up those numbers! He belongs in the hall
What's the name of this background music
Thats the cemetery song from the movie The Good The Bad and The Ugly
