Took the plunge and upgraded to an Industrial powder coat system. i was back and forth between the Gema and Electron. The Rc-1 has treated me really well, but I Chose to go with the Electron E-coat Master System. In this video we unbox and go over the machine, and spray some powder.

I have one of them guns and i love it but it is still a learning curve for me too.
That electron is just as good as the gema from a professional standpoint just a 3rd of the cost, got a rc-1 as well and just starting my side business it’s perfect until I build enough money to get me one of those electron guns as well to. Keep up the vids brother 👍👍👍👏👏👏
That gun looks just like the Gema knock offs they sell online, exactly like it. I picked one up just to try and works good, very simular. The kit you have looks nice, I like how many hoppers they gave you.
I bought it from a Gema Dealer and repair facility. He had nothing bad to say about it, and by his own words it ran head to head with Gema.
@MLC Performance Fabrication didn't mean any disrespect by it, I got a simular one and it was a gema knock off same looks just different color and same thing, it works great
@@loganbartley9666 none taken :) I think there are a lot of great products out there without a big brand name on them. Take the RC-1 from Royal Coats. That is a great little system. I just felt I was out growing it. But I still have it. And still will use it. Sorry if my response came off defensive.
Dude, you need to get some air suction in that booth, and from how the powder wasn't sticking to those brackets, better grounding and I bet you would kick even more ass than you already are. Having an airflow at the back of the booth to pull the powder to the parts makes a ton of difference!
Yeah I really need the filtration system. I have manged to piece everything together to build just havent gotten around to it. I have an 8' x 5/8" diameter grounding rod driven all the way down with about 3" of the rod showing and its right on the other side of the wall. So Im not sure if whats under the building isnt compact enough or not the right substrate. it does help to go out and dump some water on the ground rod. Thanks for the comment and input!
@@mlc_fab I just built a 2x4 piece behind my booth, walled it in, 2 HVAC blower units wired to high and filters and it does great, and was pretty cheap.
knock off or not , once it does the job well is all that matters .. ive been using a colo 191s for over 5 yrs and i get the results i want so i cant complain
I just broke my old spectra coat I paid a grand for that and has no features lmao … I’ve been thinking of buying a colo 191 with the 2lb hopper . Do you recommend or do you think I should try the electron ?

I bought a Colo KFX1 -TB last year and I can’t get it to stop surging . And I can’t stand it . When it works right it’s awesome .That’s why I am watching Electron system videos . lol

Great looking machine, i seen one in UK trade show and thinking or ordering. Can you please tell me how long it takes you to clean the hoppers if you changing colours pls?

How do you have your grounds? I built a new spray booth and now my electron is statically unhappy. I can't run 100 kv like I use to I had to lower it.
My ground is a 6 ga wire ran right through the wall to a 8' -0" x 5/8" ground rod. Roughly about 8-10' from the ground tab on the booth. Then I attached the ground from the the Electron to the same point.
Where did you get the electron powder coat setup from? I do a lot of color changes too and would like to almost do the exact same setup you got
