Looks delicious. However I would just use 1/2 cup of sugar instead of 1, 1/4 cups of sugar. Add 1 Tablespoon of lemon juice and 2 teaspoons of lemon zest will bring it to another delicious level. I like my cake not too sweet. Thank you for sharing. 😘😘🥰🥰.

my cake turned out very good
nice recipe
i need a base for my pineapple cake so i was not sure about too much soda so i switched it with baking powder. i needed a bit dense texture than the tea cake so the sponge can hold the cream and fruits.
i guess soda would make it even more fluffier like tea cake. and i will switch to soda when i will be doing tea cake.
but this recipe is the best one. very easy and simple.
