How would she be hugely successful in America? None of us Americans want lifestyle and relationship advice from a woman who has alienated her whole family, all of her in-laws, and does not live within her means.
Why does America laud her then. America and its Disneyland view of people they don't know is what has caused this. Me-again has a strong following in the US she knew that when she invited Oprah to the wedding and crossed off her closest relatives and the Duke of Gloucester and his bi-racial grandchildre. Yes, she is not the first bi-racial member of the RF there have been many. She jumped on the American obsession with race and feminism. The latter most insulting to us in the UK whose mothers and grandmothers, manned factories, farms, flew planes and inviltrated germany in the secret service during WW2. We are insulted that a B list actress in a low rate cable TV show thinks she can teach anybody about anything, other that 'acquiring' money, jewellery etc. by marrying up. She is an old-fashioned woman of easy virtue, depending totally on men to support her. Not our kind of woman.

I have yet to see any of her “work” that could be classified as “hugely“ successful in America. Being on Oprah Winfrey hardly qualifies one as being important. Being on her show just means she was after ratings, and she thought people would be standing in line to see the Prince and his wife. She was wrong. I for one could have cared less about them. The more I hear from or about them the less I want to.

He's the future King & probably has gotten whatever he wanted his whole life, why wouldn't he have his cake & eat it too?? Harry had all of his own scandalous missteps when he was younger, although I definitely don't think he's as arrogant as his brother. This could go on & on....but with all of that said, why in the hell everybody blames EVERYTHING that's wrong with that family on Meghan is beyond me. It really didn't matter who Harry married, the British press is the worst! They would've torn anybody he chose to shreds. They do the same to anybody that marries into that family, just like they did Diana. They even did it to Phillip when he married the Queen. This whole circus is all garbage!!

Yes, it would be nice to see some 70- or 80-year-old adults in the room. It's understandable that the youngsters: Harry, Meghan, William, and Kate haven't yet figured out how to make it all work together like a symphony. But we do hope that the oldsters would have.

One person on a chat platform, called her MM "our princess". its was the US that raised Diana from a troubled ineffective member of the RF to almost sainthood. Harry has inherited Diana's traits and attitudes. She was the one who spent most time with him passing on paranoia about the media. She manipulated the media to suit her narrative. Charles remained dignified throughout the marital troubles. He had been in love with Camilla, she married someone else when he was serving abroad. He maintains that there was no 'affair' with Camilla until the marriage had broken down. Diana on the other hand had an affair with her bodyguard between William's birth and Harry's birth and continued her affairs with sometimes politically suspect individuals. He has disgraced Diana's upbringing and the RF family's support over the years. He should only return for the Coronation through Traitor's Gate. Camilla has earned her place in the monarchy; working hard, being loyal and not whingeing and complaining like Meghan.

I agree with the thought that Meghan is moving on possibly without a backward glance. Also it is not surprising that Harry is 'lost'. Until he was in his late 30's he was told what to do and where to be both in the RF and the army. And this is all without Royal support. Prince Harry is doing just fine, because he is enjoying your freedom he has never had. And like Harry said in the book when he left he was unemployable he didn't have any life skills. So for him to be able to go to the grocery store and it is a big thing , to get a Amazon package in his actual name is a big thing, and having car keys and wallet simple things that he has never had that is normal for the rest of us, but exciting for him.

I think Meghan's wiser than Harry and somewhat more capable of learning lessons. I think it's a given a book will happen, but I also think she will have taken note of how Harry's perceived pettiness and vindictiveness blew up in his face approval rating-wise.
