The King’s approval rating has also held up despite very personal criticisms made about him by Prince Harry in his memoir, Spare.
“As captain of the ship, the King has managed to steer the good ship Royal through pretty choppy waters and is sailing into calmer seas,” Camilla says.
However, obstacles could lie ahead, with the possibility that Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, could publish her own memoir.
The Royal family also faces the difficult challenge of maintaining the monarchy’s relevance in an increasingly polarised world, where social media has taken over.
In this episode, Camilla analyses how successfully the King and Queen have conducted their duties over the past year since the death of Queen Elizabeth, and what is likely to lie ahead.

Given that many thought the monarchy would end after QEII died, it's gone remarkably well. On the plus side for Charles was the tradition, people take comfort in continuity. Also that Charles has been doing royal duties all his life and taken over some of his mother's engagements as she aged, so he knows the job.
Oh for goodness sake..as an Australian, Victoria pulling the plug on the Commonwealth Games has absolutely nothing to do with King Charles...7 billion dollars to host the games was outrageous and Victoria could not afford it at this time!!
Why other states offered to take on the games, however accommodation were already booked out etc .. basically it was a big stuff up by Victoria!! Nothing to do with the Monarchy!!

Yes... Politicians like to plug end of monarchy and Commonwealth, but as wars break out..Russia and China align, there's even more need for us to retain our Commonwealth link and strength and unions. Politicians are only looking for more 'loose power and higher money for nothing' jobs to be "head of state", when our aligance is preferable and more useful! 🇦🇺 Australia needs and has voted, to stay Part of the Commonwealth, part of the free world!!

All queen consorts of past went by queen and not queen consort .ie queen Elizabeth the queen mother,queen Mary the queens grandmother. Queen Alexandra etc.
I didn't like Camilla at first...but in this day and age, divorce is so very common....and if Charles had been allowed to marry his love, maybe there would have been no divorce.....but then, we the people, would have missed out on the joy of Diana; so everything happens for a reason I guess..... but Camilla has worked very hard to learn her place and job and in the few interviews I've seen of her, I think she's going to be ok as his Queen Consort... And compared to Meghan, at least Camilla is bringing positivities, hard work, good speeches, not demanding of attention over everyone else, not greedy, selfish, staff-abusing, etc.... so I think in comparison, we are lucky to get her and not someone like MM as Queen!!! Which is why a lot of people would like to see Harry removed from the Line of Succession and never have to fear that there's any possibility of those 2 ever sitting on the throne!!
After their behavior, the accusations of racism, the empire 2.0 I wouldn't like to see that wimp in any event about the person they hurt so intentionally. The monarch is the one that gives titles or not, Harry's wife was targeting the Queen, the same person who denied them of the half way in,half way out. That was revenge, no doubt. Consort is a role and not a title. The King wanted Queen Camilla to be "Queen" don't make out that it's all from her..she has worked hard and kept her head down and won over Queen Elizabeth. Well, Victoria's husband Albert was known as the Prince Consort - so Queen Consort would seem to be one degree higher.

More genuine than Diana who was a devious, manipulative madam who played the field. At least Charles was only unfaithful with one person, the love of his life, now his wife who loves him and supports him. The Queen was also very happy and comfortable with Camilla, they shared a deep affection for each other.

I find it so annoying when the media is always sure to state how Queen Camelia dropped the Consort Title. This is just not true. She is still the Queen Consort because she is married to Charles the reigning King. She is just called Queen because it is shorter. When the media continues to point the dropping of Consort, it seems like they are trying to stir up some problems. She is by definition a Consort Queen and not Queen Regnant like Queen Elizabeth II. The British people should know this from their history lessons at school. There are five different types of queen titles in the British system:
Queen Regnant: A woman who inherits the crown in her own right, such as Elizabeth II.
Queen Consort: The wife of a reigning king, such as Elizabeth (the Queen Mother).
Queen Dowager: The widow of a king, such as Mary of Teck.
Queen Mother: The mother of a reigning monarch, such as Elizabeth (the Queen Mother) after her daughter became queen.
Queen Regent: A woman who rules on behalf of an absent or underage monarch, such as Catherine of Braganza.

I actually accepted Camilla as Queen Consort but I went back to hating her when she pushed herself in our throat as THE QUEEN so soon after The Queen died.
She could have kept the consort for a little while to get us used to even that idea, but she seems determined to let us know she is in charge.
