Hi Adam I don't want to dampen your enthusiasm but it might be a good idea if you put some waterproof sealant around those rivets on your roof, also if your going sleep in there you'll need ventilation otherwise everything that's in there will get soaked with condensation. With using a diesel heater a carbon monoxide detector is a must. Great video though.
Where would you put the vent?
I'd fit a max air fan in the roof and take out part or all the bulkhead and fit wind deflectors on the side windows so you can leave the windows slightly open without the rain getting in and create a airflow through the van.@@tallshort1849

😅one windows
More than likely sleeping with the side door open. Quick access to the rods when he gets a bite. But monoxide detector is a must.
Leaks Galore Man !!!🪣🌧
You should have fitted rubber grommets for the cables to pass through the holes you drilled, in order to stop the insulation on the cables from rubbing through Adam.
Also stops water leaking through…
Great project...you have skills for sure....with all sincerity please go back up top , drill out the pop rivets and fit a proper cable gland or grommets around those cables.....youre gonna have a fire for sure and a nasty water leak at very best until the cables short out on the body and catch fire....not being negative honestly..... a best friend would tell you this.....get it done fella....and enjoy your excellent hard work for longer...... tight lines
Oh to be young! Well done that man, I’m sure you’ll iron out any glitches as you go. Good luck. 👍
Good luck Adam. I'm sure you'll overcome any challenges along the way! 👍💪
Brilliant transformation from open van space to the ultimate fishing camper van👍
Great enthusiasm Adam but LACKING THE BASIC SAFETY FEATURES !!
I didn’t see any over current protection devices ie inline fuses / circuit breakers connected in the battery/solar panel circuit . GROMMETS are a MUST when passing electrical cables through un -burred metal holes.
You can find professional electrical tips on basic electrical practices on CZcams, once you’ve weeded out the RUBBISH.
What you don’t want Adam is a van fire, caused by DODGY WIRING !!
Best of luck.
Nice to see somebody doing it simple for a change, instead of spending a fortune on a vehicle that eventually end up in a scrapyard
Brilliant Im sure you’ll keep adding and tweaking along the way looks brilliant pal 🙌
You've done well there Adam lad hope yr trip goes well mate I'll be waiting 🎣👊💯
Well impressed with your handy man skills. Hope you have loads of fun
Looks wicked Adam be watching
As a couple of others have stated Please fit a carbon monoxide detector Only about £10 for a battery operated one could save your life and consider some sort of roof vent & floor vent as fitted in caravans & campers Looks pretty good as a basic fishing van .🙂
Really like your blogs mate just be careful ❗️
“I’ll wake up dead” 😂😂🤙
'I'll wake up dead' Made me laugh that did😂😂😂😂👍
Eh well done lad few more bits to be done which im sure get round to fantastic fishing van
Buzzin mate absolite buzzin. Csnt wait for this journey. Just hope you sealed some of the holes you drilled especially the ones for the solar panel. Defo get a carbon monoxide detector too mate. Cracking job though cant wait for the future videos now
Great Job Adam better then sleeping at the Ritz Hotel 5 STAR VIDEO.
Well done ,good job👍🏻
Great vid as always Adam. Havnt you Don this b4 on another van a few year back
I would run a split charge relay from the engine charging circuit, solar panels are OK for trickle charging but takes ages if the battery gets low
Spot on advise william
Great Job 🚐🤙
Well done looks mint
That’s quality lad 👊🏻 some adventures to be had in this beaut 🎣 I have only one question 🙋🏼♂️ do you not need some air vents with the heater running and for like when you are cooking 🍳 . I’m definitely jealous 😂😂 I’ve got a 4 day session starting today I’ll be thinking of you warm in your van when I’m soaked and frozen 😂😂
Brill that is mate well done … what’s it like to use ?
Happy days👍
You shouldn’t plug solar into the charge controller first. Battery first then solar or your could brick the unit
Can you list parts and where from
What happened to the van you did before Adam ?
Very good Adam, i have one aswell and love it, go on holidays but i haven't used it for fishing YET, Thank you for shearing your build with us,
Splash back for your cooking will keep the carpet clean
Come and see me in Perpignan. I'll put the kettle on.
My ocd wishing he cleaned & washed the van before he started🥲😭
Just put foam on the frame then there is your bed boom
Looking good!! I’d be wanting a window in that side door so I can sit and watch the lake 😂
Full stealth mode
Couple of points you need to silicone roof it will leek like a twat lol
2nd point cables will rub on metal and short out IE FIRE 🔥 Wats bad in a van
3rd point roof vent
4th heater should av gone near back doors easier filling
5th when solar. Is crap IE winter you need a DC to DC charger from altonater to house battery when vans running it's free power
Other than that it's miles better than a bivvy
You can put the bed upside down and have more space
How will I sleep
Jealous .... cracking van set up.
Carbon monoxide alarm plz.don’t want to wake up dead ☠️
Really? "Ultimate" van conversion and drilling the roof and no sealeant applied at solar cables and rivets?
That is sick
Good for camping not for fishing, because not many places you can park your van next to pond or lake 🤦♂️
Sorry my dude for being negative.
If it was me doing this I'd have lined the sides floor and ceiling with sound deadening coating and some insulation.
Sleeping in a van is cold at night buddy apart from that good effort.
