I can't belive how fast I got a response from you. it made my day. I thought about a class C, because I have a few pom dogs I want to bring with me to begin my journey. Mother natue is fine, but it is not my main concern, it is community and finding sweet ladies to give my future pom puppies to, so to enhance their lives. I have been a pom breeder for 30 years and I have some of the top of the line white beauties to give to the right home for free. Why should these women on the road pay for a puppy in the thousands. I want lady friends. Maybe giving them a beautiful white puppy might make us a life long friend. I am 76, in perfect health and have servel years left to do this. I just have to get the right riidge to get on the road.

INGENIOUS!!!! Lulu you have thought of EVERYTHING! I have a 2012 Ford Transit Connect and never thought to take out the passenger seat and put half my bed in the front. I love the colors, all your ideas, the amazing amount of storage, the ice maker combined with the cooler, etc., etc. Thank you for all the links that you provided. Extremely helpful. I am a solo woman camper in my 60's and although my van is very comfortable and functional, I found myself longing for one like yours. Well done, well done, well done!! Watching this video is extremely heartening for me as van life is likely what I will have to do in the next month or so - but definitely by December - unless some financial miracle comes my way. Good luck for whatever lies ahead and if it’s van life, enjoy the road to freedom that many envy being stuck in the 9-5 in a house where they feel trapped by circumstance. A different road may lie ahead for you but it may be one that lifts many burdens from your shoulders. Try to connect with others that have also made that choice for the support and comradeship that will help to remind you of the positives and possibilities when times may seem hard.
Sometimes I think that if we tell ourselves that we have chosen to do something because it is the right thing for now, we are more able for the challenge, rather than thinking it is completely against our wishes. Something wonderful may just be waiting……. X

You will love having a van! I bought a Honda Odyssey recently & I wish I'd made the leap 30 years ago! I have a private toilet in mine thats really convenient even on short trips.

Lulu, suggestion: on your white washed table/counter top, why don’t you have your friend help you make the counter top portion lift up via a hing of some sort to access and inlay shelf that runs the entire length of the cabinet. Seems like that could be the answer for you to have all food storage handy. Maybe I’m missing something…

I live in a 6x10 converted cargo trailer and I've seen A LOT of videos of builds and yours is one of the best. Ingenuity, creativity and purposefulness is perfect. Its finding that perfect container and those little perfect spots for things that are so fun. Beautiful vido-so informative. Blessings❤

We’re both so much alike and so different all at the same time. Your style is very different than mine but your love of reusing free stuff, thrift stores, organizing, and general attitude in life is very similar. Oh- AND your black and white checked floor. I did that in our first house and always loved it. 😊
I have a book suggestion for you- based on the love of the checkerboard floor and a few other things I picked up about your personality: Hollyhock, Lambs, and Other Passions by Dee Hardie. It’s one of my all-time favorite books. She used to write a column for a magazine and this is a compilation book of stories from her life and family.

Lulu, I've watched all of your videos. This is one of my favorites. I just loved this tour and even though I am familiar with your work I still got some new ideas. One thing I hope you add is a full-size spare tire. Being able to get yourself rolling again if you damage a tire or wheel is useful and safe. And it would allow AAA to better assist you if you have a spare.

I'm so glad you enjoyed this video and have watched all my videos!! 😊 the way I feel about the spare tire is that I will wait and experience the first time getting a flat and see how it plays out. if it works out well and let's say AAA tows me to a tire shop so I can get it repaired or replaced, then perfect!! if it doesn't work out and I find it to have been a horror show of events because I didn't have a spare, then I will get a spare and figure out a location for it. but I won't worry about it until it's a problem. I truly never think of it!! But thank you very much for your concern. 😊

What an absolutely fabulous van build!! I especially loved the two sideways CD towers as kitchen cabinets...perfect! Btw...I have an old 4" foam piece (like yours) that ended up being a perfect size for the old futon frame a friend gave me when she moved. It's just right to use in place of a sofa, and more comfortable than any bed I've ever owned. I've always thought that if I ever went into a tiny house or a van/truck buildout that I'd try to use that as my bed, because it also has the advantage of a lot of space underneath to slide in storage boxes, bins, etc. Thanks for taking the time to share all this. So well thought out!

Beautiful little van! I was dreading downsizing to 80 sq ft, but now I'm sure I can do it. Sold my home (decrepit home) and am getting a custom build, but I'm 70 with a rotten spine. Looking forward to joyous travels.

Lulu! I'm completely blown away! This is the first of your videos I've watched and it would be this one LOL! The most beautiful van home I've seen, patterns are not too many, they all blend together perfectly with little pops of color like those CD racks (genius). And really, you have not just good storage, but what has to be called systems of storage and systems of living! Completely lost count of the number of times I went "wow" or "oh my goodness"!!! Love it, period. Hope to someday get out on the road and will definitely remember this. Thank you and now I have to watch more of your videos.

I had a minimalist practical idea..
the clothes can be the mattress
and all groceries at the lowest level under the bed as low is cool and heat rises..you could have a removable ice box witch fits under the van to make more room and keeps things cool
I use my 18”x 18” removable and washable decorative pillow cases that also have a separately bought waterproof liner for heavy coats and seasonal clothes storage.
