Lulu, thanks for a great time and interviewing me!! That was so much fun.
Thanks Barb!
Great setup.
Im still considering that kind of thing.
I like the idea of converting it back for general use.
Ive watched sooo many of these videos.
Retirement age in New Zealand is 65.
We have to wait untill then to get our "kiwisaver" out.
Less than 18 months to wait now!!!
My current car is a tiny we car, Im quite tall, so no way to camp in it!
They say patience is a vertue.
Anyways, its winter here atm...
Barb, So well thought out; functional, comfortable; high quality components. I noticed that the Ram Promaster City is now discontinued, unfortunately. Nice bike too. All the best as you continue to participate in all your pursuits and the good works you do. Well done.
Wow ! Your set up is really neat! Everything you need. And your bed looks super comfy. Enjoy your time in The Great Outdoors. Cool that you ride a mountain bike too. 👍👍
Thank you for the interview and showing us your build it looks very comfortable I'm curious what mattress you use? I'm continually looking for a more comfortable bed... is it foam or a regular mattress of some sort thank you so much and if you have a link thanks. And thanks for showing us your Loo... everybody usually avoids that.
I love finally seeing Barb! I have heard her on the zoom meetings. She is a no nonsense, practical, no frills gal but really fun! Love the basic and very functional way she sets up her can
Barb is so organized. Love that she shared how she uses her little van for periodic camping and other activities. Shows the flexibility of her ideas.
Keeping it simple works ! She has thoughtfully utilized her vehicle for all her interest, smart lady ! THANKS for sharing.
Thank you for your kind words 😊
I'm exactly the same way: no mosquitoes, crowds, heat, or unknown children! Great set up.
Wow, She’s AMAZING!! I have learned so much from this video!
Thanks Ladies!!!
Barb has a nice setup, easy & efficient. Great video Lulu, very enjoyable as always. God Bless 🙏🏻🤗🥰🇺🇸
Simplistic, but has 3 necessities important to me. a warm dry comfy bed, a potty and security. She has room for her "toys and that is important to her. Nice!
I have been looking for a bed like this. Any hope of getting a link, please?
I scoured Home Depot website and couldn't find it and then I asked Barb and she could no longer find it either. 🥲
Thanks for trying, Lulu! I have discovered the carloo highlighted in an earlier video doesnt ship to Canada. Oh well!
Thank you to Barb for a great tour & interview!!! Thank you Lulu for letting us meet such an interesting person, so much fun 💯 "Bye for now" 😁✌️

I love your style and simplicity Barb. Great video
Hello, thank you for the video. Home Depot has tops to their red containers, that are toliet seats. Pretty comfortable. Eastcoast women have to stick together. Barb, journey on!
Very comfortable and convenient 🎉
I have a moon shade for my camper too and love it! Great setup. Clean and simple. All you need for a few days get away.
Loved seeing Barb’s setup and how it fits for her. There are so many different ways to do things. I am glad it works for her. She is very efficient and made great decisions on what she needs for her adventures. Thanks for sharing that with us.
Barb is such a vibe! Love her simple yet functional design. Thanks Lulu!
Yay🎉 this is my first “first!” First comment & first like 😅👍🏼👍🏼!
nice, so simple and it looks like an hour set up. Suggest you use the USB strip lights, low power draw and most come with a remote to allow you to turn on in middle of night if needed. enjoy it
Nice to put a face to the name. Love your get away van. Enjoy.😊
Thanks!!😊
Nice “no build” build. Very nice.
Was so great to see you interview Barb and show her van. I love Barb's no build setup. She has thought of everything. That awning is really nice. Barb seems like a really cool gal.
Thanks so much, your kind words are appreciated
You two are an inspiration. Thank you, ladies!
Great tour. If pool noodles are not your thing, there are toilet seats for the 5 gallon buckets.
What a cool lady. Lulu, great interview!
Great interview and tour! Thanks Lulu and Barb! 🙂
I loved seeing Barb’s van! Simple and practical.
She would have room for a couple of plastic straw mats to put on the ground in front of the entrances to the van. Helps keep the camp “ground” outside.
It's a beautiful area.
Nice van and I would have them cut the pass through and put it on hinges if a quick getaway was needed but I agree having it closed keeps it cool nice ambiance lites and LuLu leave it to you putting the pool noodle around the bucket 👌
I love your van Barb. You have it all with such simplicity beautiful
Good to see the rest of you, after all the Zoom meetings of just seeing your head. You look great. Nice looking van. ❤️
Thanks Mary!! It was fun making this video with Lulu😊
Love your setup Barb. Simple and cozy!!
Great job! We do the bucket loo too with horse pellets, works great! We camped for 10 days at Cape look out NC. Used the bucket for #1 + #2.. no smell, no problem! Better than cat litter!
WAY better than the smell of cat litter!!😊
So beautiful there! Great set up Barb!
Thanks!!
❤❤❤love Barb. Great simple setup.
Nice and simple. I have a similar set up in my cargo trailer. I have only done short trips - but am heading towards longer times on the road. My problem, I like to take all of my toys with me: bicycle, kayaks (extras to take other people), and my hand crafts. I like the moon-shade - will have to look into getting one. Thanks.
Simple, easy and exactly what you need for short stints!! Love it Barb!!♥️🚐🙂
Love the awning. I wonder if we can fit that in Purple Renee's van, haha!!
Oh yes, they fit perfect on the smaller vans!!😊😊
😂🤣 Purple Renee carries all the things we need!!!
Love this set up! Leaves space to be comfortable. Great job!
Lovely set up! It sounds like Barb might be from New England too!!! I love how many attendees were from MA. I wish I had gone.
Yes RI
Nice set up Barb …. Very organized. I was waiting for you to dance though!!!
Thanks Anne, funny we didn’t even think about dancing and I know both of us would have!😊😊
You could always do something from the inside of the cab window instead of from the cargo area 😊
It is a nice simple set up.
Barb be chillin❤😊
HOME DEPOT?? I did not know that Bard get the bed frame there. The awning is great going to look for that. Thank you for showing us her setup. 😊 Love & Light always Karen 😊& Miles 🐶
So lovely to see you two sitting together after all this time 💕
Love it! Suggestion for the window if you want it, since you can use magnets just cover the window in fabric and put magnets around it so your pillow doesn’t mess it up. ❤
Hey, that's our Barb! Nice to see you and your rig. You are wonderful on Thursday evenings and in this interview. Hope to meet you in person someday, Rebecca of Michigan's Upper Peninsula
Love this! I keep on learning from you all!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
This is my goal for next year and love seeing all the set ups
Enjoy the process, that really is the best part
Thanks Barb!!! And Lulu of course!
Great job Barb 👍
Awesome set up!
I found this time with you ladies very enjoyable and informative. Nice to meet you, Barb. Thumbs up you two, and love from S. California.
Lulu, you are so much fun! 💕
I really enjoyed this video. Nice set up, Barb👏
Very nice 🎉
Interesting setup.
This is great! Thanks for sharing, Barb😊
Good Morning Lulu,Barb🌻✨🌞 Really interesting Great Ideas in the Mini Van !🤩
Hi Lulu and Barb
Thank you for your video. I really appreciate you guys and all the hard work.
I love my Promaster. It's best deal for gas mileage even though I sacrifice a little space.
Enjoyed this one!
I love this simple setup. I’ve made a list so I too can have some adaptability.
One thing I’ve been thinking about lately Lulu, is spare tires.
If women are carrying a full size? Where are older women storing them? Are they basing their vehicle choices with this in mind? I would appreciate knowing this if you would ask. I’m aging. And don’t know how much longer I’ll be able to change a tire on my own.
Thanks and be well on your travels.
personally, I don't have a spare tire. my van did not come with one. instead it came with a compressor and I've used it to put air in my tire when it was low. I have AAA for tire issues of more concern. and I just decided that I won't be worrying about it. whatever happens, happens, and everything always works out in the end.
I have a 2020 and my spare is under the van, like a truck. The dealership salesperson didn’t even know it was under there, if found it as I was curious one day. Thought it was funny that it didn’t come with a spare. Perhaps Lulu has one too😊
I need Barb to contract as decluttering expert at my place. Brilliant simple practical build love it. I need more about Barb - Retire? What did she do for work?
yes, she's retired scientist!!!
wasp spray is great for protection as it shoots 30 feet and really hurts your eyes....I keep it by my bed just in case...and my car
#Grateful 🙏 love you guys, thank you, #mahalo
🙂👍👍
The small twin is called a "single twin" if you are ordering it.
good to know!! thanks!!
Great build no build.
I would want a cattle prod. If it will move a big bull, it will move a man or wild animal
Barb maybe the curtain can go in on the cab side so it doesn’t bother you while sleeping
oh! that's a terrific idea!!!
That is a great idea, and because it has fabric on the inside I bet one side of Velcro will stick to it making it easy peasy!! Thanks for the suggestion! Way to think outside the box…. Literally😊😊😊
Thanks for sharing this Lulu and Barb! Sweet setup. Could you include a link to Barb’s bed, please?
I searched for it and couldn't find it. she said she got it at Home Depot, and she called it a "small twin". perhaps if she reads the comments and sees this, she will answer for you!! 😊
@@LulusWay64 Thanks for searching, I couldn’t find it either. BFN 😊
It’s been a few years since I bought the bed and don’t see it anymore at the Home Depot site. 😮😮
@@vanomadcyclist3474 Okay, thanks for the reply!
Love your van setup Barb. It was a pleasure meeting you at the meet-up. Thanks again for finding my green phone!🚐💨
Thanks!
How did you make the window covers?
I don't know if she'll see this comment but I think she just covered reflectix with fabric!
Exactly Lulu, I cut out the reflectix and then used spray adhesive to apply the fabric. After that I sewed the fabric to the reflectix for added security. I didn’t finish the ends as it’s not important to me and hinders them fitting in the window.
🩵🙏🌝👍
Horse pellets??
yes, she uses horse pellets. many on the road use those for absorbancy.
@@LulusWay64 i used to have horses, and there are horse pellets as feed. Is that what she is using or is this something for absorption?
@@theresatyree3904 I think people use this stuff: www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/tractor-supply-pine-pellet-stall-bedding-40-lb
@@LulusWay64 awesome! Thank you so much. Such a good idea.
@@theresatyree3904 and @lulusway64 YES, that is what I use. It’s a big bag so I take only what I need for my trip. That is what is in the yellow bin that my Bluetti is sitting on.
