Don Henley's a Jerk! is calling out Henley, The Eagles and other bands who target small musicians for covering their songs. While pretending to fight for the "little guy" Henley and the Eagles aggressively attack musicians who play cover songs in hopes of building a following. My song lyrics sum it up:

I enjoy The Eagles and Don Henley as musicians, but I think he is completely backwards on this issue. I seen him in concert and he told the crowd not to record with their phones, he said it's ruining the music industry. Haha, what's ruining the music industry is no classic artists like himself, have made any music worth buying in the last 30 years.

I agree that it is DH's property and he has the right to do what he wants with it. Although IMO I cant see that after so much success how any artist would not want to let people borrow and use it because it brings joy. Many of us would love to watch videos of people covering and teaching his music. If I were that successful and had all those fans I would happily let it go and as a thanks for being such good supporters. Maybe Im weird like that.
