Josh Sofaer was raised in San Francisco in a secular, Sephardic Jewish home. His family, like many others in the Bay area, were cause-oriented. That “activist” foundation drew him to Jews for Jesus as a young Jewish follower of Yeshua. Today, Sofaer works as the director of staff development with Jews for Jesus. He has a BA in history from Brooklyn College and a MA and ThM (in process) from Western Seminary. He and his wife have two children, and currently reside in Los Angeles.

Yes I too have had sleepless nights over what’s happened to Israel and felt sick at the evil poured out on that day. I’m not Jewish but as a born again believer I love Israel and the people and stand with Israel. May the Lord bless you and keep you: May the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; May the Lord lift up His face to you and give you peace. Amen.
I’m a 68 year old follower of Jesus, Yeshua, the promised Messiah. It has been my understanding from very early on (I came to faith at the age of 13) that Israel was God’s chosen people by His calling, not Abram’s performance. His covenant was unidirectional, He initiated the call, confirmed it in both Isaac and Jacob, and it remained in effect through the dispersion, the first return, and the Roman’s destruction of the temple and Jerusalem. Now, the people are back in THEIR land. I’m blessed to be grafted into the vine, Jesus secured my place in the family, but in no way will the wild grapes take preeminence over His people. Any person teaching differently is in error IMHO. I apologize for the rambling
Excuse me, bro: the wild grapes (we) and the Jews are all the same. We are one in Jesus. No one has proeminence over other. Reading the New Testment, that is very clear for me, IMHO.

Love this conversation between you bro Jeff and Josh. You're right! God is loving and forgiving. Jesus said to forgive not seventy times but seventy times seven. God chose Israelis as his chosen people for fulfillment of all prophecies. The world Is full of evil and people are still blind. Yes, Gazans can repent and turn to God, I pray for this, however, even if it offends our sensibility, the fact is that Gazans overwhelmingly support Ha mas and applauded Oct the 7th, hundreds of Gazans killed, raped and looted the kibbutzim alongside Ha mas, thousands abused the hostages when they were paraded in the streets of Gaza, and when some were released, crowds tried lynching them. It's no use being naive. Jesus said: "Be as tender as a dove and as wise as a serpent ".
God's Chosen people are not just the Jewish people anymore. But to everyone who believes in God's ONLY Son Jesus Christ ✝️.

God rejects nobody, it is the other way around. The old covenant of Mt Sinai has a dragon (draco constellation) that gives power to the earthy kingdom of the beasts, it was first established to organize mankind and subdue his animal instinct. The tabernacle is only a facsimile of gods plan. Hebrews 8:5 Christ came and established a new covenant that replaces the old covenant, and lifts mankind up above earthly desires if one accepts it fully. Colossians 2-20 The revelation is happening the way they are prophesied.
