How to fix the oil in the coolant issue.
Forgot to add, after flushing the coolant add some distilled water before driving and only add coolant when properly flushed. It can take a few attempts to fully flush.
btw thanks for the vid but small tip: try to avoid folding over those coolant lines that way. sometimes its better to just remove them than compromise them
I think this just happend to my poor 530d. Im fixing some rust on the wheel arch in the rear and drive it in and out of the garage. Was just going to check if it had lost any coolant sitting still for over a month, and the tank was filled with oil. Just a bit over the max level. So i havent been driving it luckyli!!! Cant see any reason for the head gasket to blow when its barely been used.
It has 416xxx km on the tacho tho, but its well maintained and starts like and runs like a dream!
TIS says you should drain the oil and change it before you start as some coolant will get into the engine when you remove the filter housing. Better safe then sorry!
Thank you for the video
nice video, but its easier if you remove the manifold
Can you please tell me where you bought the part and how you are said to be well
Good film i think this may be my problem, just not sure on parts. Just hope this and not head gasket. Try this then test after.
Hi... Hello Friend,, ihave problem with my BMW330D e46 serie3 diesel.. In my coulant deposit, there is un oilmixing, so what is the problem of this? If you have an email i will send you picture.. I hope you can help me thanks..

I need some help, one hose from expansion tank goes to thermostat where does it go another hose?
srbin srpski not quite sure which one you mean. One from the expansion tank might be just one that’s there for air
Try Real Oem for diagrams
Thank you
did any of you people pull the dip stik.??..
I heard mechanic labour cost is very costly there ?
PooorMan-DIY yes this job would be a nightmare for cost at a garage
@@JDRMotors did you contemplate before you do the repair ?? ...lol ... you know ... as amateur mechanic ... many areas are "uncharted waters" .. lol ...
PooorMan-DIY to be honest it was a budget car so any trip to a garage was off the cards. They are well put together and logical so that helped!
@@JDRMotors thats why DIY videos in youtube are very helpful for many 'budget' people ....
Yesss
Would you be able to do some more videos on the 106 rallye
Dont worry they are coming, car is coming out of storage soon :)
Hi I wanna ask you a question in your car have got a power because my one is snot and I have black oil in the water but from the return pipe is clean water my car does not smoke at all it's just from the exhaust you can you can feel smell I was revving the car and see the pipes from the turbo extending and they are but not very Hart do you know maybe what's happening with my one
Has the cooling system been bled properly?
@@JDRMotors how do you bleeding it And get all the oil out
Would oil cooler failure cause both coolant in the oil and oil in the coolant?
That sounds likes the head gasket
@@LeedsHypnotherapist Oil cooler cured it - 5000 trouble free miles of no mixing.
@@Ess41f I'm going to change the oil cooler as I'm doing the housing gasket. Might as well do the whole lot while it's off
@@LeedsHypnotherapist I’ve replaced the oil cooler and corresponding gaskets ALL OEM parts.
Make sure the gaskets are seated appropriately and throughly clean the gasket surface areas prior.
@@Ess41f thanks for the tips. Did you use gasket sealant as well? Some recommend it and some don't
