The Hymns are always and always will be biblically sound, I don't have to dig in and put it against scripture. Chris putting in new life to this beloved hymn/s is always a blessing.

"Come Thou Fount (written in 1757, historic most loved Hymn)"
Come Thou Fount of EVERY Blessing
Tune my heart to sing Thy Grace
    Streams of Mercy never ceasing
Call for Songs of loudest Praise
    Teach me some Melodious sonnet
    Sung by flaming Tongues above
Praise The Mount I'm FIXED UPON it
    👑Mount of Thy🍞🍷Redeeming LOVE🕎✝🔥
    Here I raise my Ebenezer
Hither by Thy help I come
And I hope by Thy good pleasure
    Safely to arrive at home
Jesus sought me when a stranger
Wandering from the fold of God
He to rescue me from danger
    Interposed His precious blood
How Your kindness yet pursues me
How Your mercy never fails me
Till the day that death shall loose me
I will sing, oh I will sing
    Turnaround
Oh to grace how great a debtor
    Daily I'm constrained to be
Let Thy goodness like a fetter
Bind my wandering heart to Thee
Prone to wander, Lord I feel it
Prone to leave the God I love
Here's my heart Lord, take and seal it
Seal it for Thy courts above
How Your kindness yet pursues me
How Your mercy never fails me
Till the day that death shall loose me
I will sing, oh I will sing
How Your kindness yet pursues me
How Your mercy never fails me
Till the day that death shall loose me
I will sing, oh I will sing
Till the day that death shall loose me
I will sing, oh I will sing
Prone to wander, Lord I feel it
Prone to leave the God I love
Here's my heart Lord, take and seal it
Seal it for Thy courts above
Here's my heart Lord, take and seal it
Seal it for Thy courts above

I love it when he takes a breath in the middle of the word. Roy Berridge that because the Lord takes his breath away!! It takes my breath away when I sing it. Praise God!!

If anyone's wondering, you can also use a drop-D tuning (either doubled guitar or 12 string), and alternating between the 6th and 4th strings, to do an alternating octaves D like on the album. That's the basic pattern, plus hammer-ons into Bmin and D.

One of my favorites! I gasped and rushed here to listen, when I saw you'd done it:) Wonderful. No kidding about those lyrics. "Teach me some melodious sonnets, sung by flaming tongues above." Inspired.

    Falling at His feet...
Loving Him with all I am
    Knowing fully
    I'm unworthy
    Of the mercy
    From His hands...

    Ephesians 1:4-14New International Version (NIV)
4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he[a] predestined us for adoption to sonship[b] through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will- 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8 that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, 9 he[c] made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, 10 to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment-to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.
11 In him we were also chosen,[d] having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, 12 in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. 13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession-to the praise of his glory.

Mike Rogers critical spirit? there is something to be said for the sincerity of the praise....without faith it is impossible to please Him.
