People are too hard on the 1983-2006 period. We were in the national title mix for the better part of 89, 91, 92, 94, 05 seasons.
Between 91-93 we ran up one of the longest non-losing & winning streaks of all time.
How many programs can boast a national title in their “down” 23 year period? And multiple conference titles in there at a time when conference competition was up: Florida was a monster and Auburn/LSU/Georgia/Tennessee all really strong.
There were great players - as good as any set of players from any generation. Consider: David Palmer, Derrick Thomas, Cornelius Bennett, Van Tiffin, Bobby Humphrey, John Copeland, Eric Curry, George Teague, Antonio Langham, Kevin Turner, Keith McCants, Brodie Croyle, Chris Samuels, Shaun Alexander… that’s just the tip of the iceberg from this period. A lot of these guys are literally among the best at their position who ever played college football.

Jimmy, big fan of yours but a rare misstep for you to say SOS doesn’t matter. Just last season both Alabama & especially Texas jumped undefeated FSU by virtue of their schedule versus FSU 50+ SOS. Alabama has mostly won the annual big boy game so my point being it still enhanced their resume.

I've been screaming this for years: nothing matters but W's at the end of the year. Georgia and Michigan learned this and played Charmin soft schedules for the past several years. We keep signing up for strong out of conference games and it does nothing for us. Until and unless the committee starts valuing S.O.S. then we're fools for scheduling anyone stronger than a community college.

IF Coaches KD,NS,JS,+BEllis CANNOT configure the proper and most effective ways to utilize Kendrick? Then it IS the old " You cant make chicken salad without the chickens" adage. Now I am not surprised that a guy like BOB didnt,or Tommy Rees. But IF these guys Can Not/Will Not make a BIG-TIME weapon out of KLaw? Then it is on him,and his ticket in the Portal out of town is on its way. I dont want it,but I have seen a multitude of guys through the years in all sports who LOOK like Tarzan,but PLAY like Jane. HUGE year fo KLaw and his future,along with Prentice+EMan.......

But I believe we are holding out just a little longer for Kariq Lockett,and IF that ship sails in the next week? Then maybe we will allow a committment from Meadows whose down the road upside I love.

Dallas is probably the easiest place in the SEC not named Atlanta to fly into. Its located in between two blue bloods that are being introduced to the conference that they have millions of dollars invested into. Its the sight of one of the biggest rivalries in all of college football (still can't believe you said Tenn-Alabama or UGA-UF were better rivalries a few episodes ago, when both of those rivalries are way more one-sided.)
Also the proximity argument? You brought up Missouri. Columbia is exactly nine hours driving from Dallas and Birmingham in both directions. So by your logic, they should never have it Birmingham? Personally if I have to fly I'd rather have options at DFW or Love Field than have to fly into BHM.
I get this is an Alabama show. But the bias and lack of reasoning makes it so hard to continue to listen in. I'm a massive Crimson Tide fan and I'm constantly left baffled by some of the takes you have. Jimmy is GOATed though.

3/4 of ohio's 2024 schedule is made up of Akron,West Michigan,Marshall,Spartacus,THE Hawks from Iowa,Indy,Purdy,Cornhusker,+Northwestern🤣🤣...2 of these teams had winning records(Iowa+NW for God's sake which shows you the weakness of this league.)The other 7 combined to LOSE 29 MORE games than they won(28-57)and project overall to be EVEN worse this season. And you would be a lying mess IF you ever blurt out that PuSU is anywhere NEAR elite.

Actually, Alabama had a tougher schedule, plus they beat Georgia enough, said. Then all the players quit on their coach and gave up 60 pts lol 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I was thinking the same thing. We got in last yr cas our schedule was harder , but also the injury played a huge role otherwise I think they would of put FSU in

Kendrick Law has not shown me anything. Has not made any plays goes down very easily that physical specimen should be dominating but he doesn’t
