- We arrived to Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. One of Central America's most beautiful natural wonders, Lake Atitlan is the most visited place in Guatemala from both tourists and locals alike. We traveled to Panajachel (or Pana) on the lakes north shore where we took in the amazing views, and ate some incredible street food; from fresh mangoes to Pupusas (the national dish of neighbouring El Salvador). Lake Atitlan is the perfect place to relax and unwind in Guatemala and Panajachel is the jewel in its crown 😊

It intrigues me what they call Chimichurri there? Here in Argentina chimichurri is a sauce that is added to meat and grilled sausages, but what you showed was too green to be the same... I'll have to go to Pana to find out...xxx Till the next one !!
Exactamente aquí en Guatemala el chimichurri es una salsa que se le echa a la carne asada, igual en Guatemala hablamos de “vos”
El chimichurri es distinto al argentino pero se usa igual

my next trip to Guatemala. But i LOVE LAKE ATITLAN!!!! my favorite was San Juan!!! Make sure you check out the mirador where you can see the whole lake !!! You guys should def

their market, in the actual city of quiche there
are Mayan ruins , small but there also Mayan
caves!! In another city in quiche closer to where
I am there is like a hot spring? It's called agua
caliente and Its a lake but the hot is steaming!!!!
There's food vendors there etc! It's in a city
called san Andres sabacaja !! quiche is really

Hey guys. Question. What was the cheese in the Papusa’s? Mozzarella?
I think it was Oaxacan quesillo cheese but not 100% 🙃
I'm no chef but we use a local Guatemalan cheese and queso de pita (string cheese), Salvador uses quesillo, but Mexican Oaxacan quesillo and Italian Mozzarella have the same properties, in Los Angeles I've seen people buy Mozzarella at walmart to make them at home.
Remind me not to watch your videos when I haven’t eaten for a few hours. I think our tastes might be similar as I like almost everything you try.

Hey guys, Salvadoran here and I’m sorry to bring a negative comment as I’ve been enjoying your chronicles but… those pupusas look dreadful :( Guatemalans are notorious for butchering them (Hondurans do a bit better job). Guatemala does have some amazing national dishes though, don’t miss out on pepian, chipilin tamales, dobladas with queso chancol, and it’s out of season right now but maybe in a local food restaurant you might find fiambre. If you’re heading antigua and city wise don’t miss out of katok in tecpan along the way, you won’t regret it! My girlfriend is Guatemalan and foodie so i could ask her for recommendations if you’d like :) again I’m sorry for the negative comment, but I feel like you really haven’t experience pupusas yet, maybe on some future trip :) glad you enjoyed them though!
