The birth of Slaanesh broke the Eldar Empires 60 million year long rein of the galaxy, pushing them to the brink of extinction. So that begs the question, why didn't they just abort?

Why didn't the romans just stop the fall of Rome?
Well, Eastern Rome Empire exist for next 1000 years
Their complacency became terminally fatal.
Mehmed wants to know your location
Because many provinces treated new masters as liberators. Late Western Roman Empire's economy wasn't great, especially the coin caught in hiperinflation
Good point mate
I always assumed it was because elves in every non-Tolkien setting are always hyper arrogant and didn't course-correct from Slaanesh because they refuse to ever admit to making a mistake.
Shit, even Tolkien elves were arrogant wankers that lead to the downfall of all else lol that’s how the rings were made after all, very slight subterfuge and praise of workmanship.
Teach me oh master arcane silversmith, I’ll never use this to make rings to control anyone else, promise! lol
They were prepared before the fall, and many left on craftworlds, although not all of them escaped. Some were still within their homeworld, of course the exodites as well
@browniechann88blackie55 People often ignore the obvious. Power and intelligence doesn't equal wisdom. The Emperor said that once.
@@browniechann88blackie55 the core worlds were obliterated in seconds, it was only the fringes that had enough time to escape or do anything other than die. Not to mention any craft world that was already out and about. They mention that in First Heretic when Argel is having his introduction to chaos
Oh, I'm sure there was a bit of that too. 😊
"It would have been funny if the Aeldari race wasn't so pathetic... Well what the hell?! I'll laugh anyway!" - Eldar Harlequin named Mark Ham-Ill probably
Wasn't it Terry McGinnis who said that?
I just picture some elder lady, giving birth and the doctors like oh hell no and just shoving the baby back up there lol
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Now thats funny🤣
wha-? what the fuck?
I like to imagine before the birth of Slaanesh, at the height of the Eldar empire, there was just one Eldar that was seen as weird, because they liked manual labor.
Digging ditches, collecting big rocks, stacking said big rocks in increasingly elaborate piles in their yard. That sort of thing.
There's an entire subrace of them called Exodites. As Majorkill said, it's not like the Eldar didn't have warning.
It was probably Maugan Ras great ancestor lol
"Dont worry. I am certain our superior Eldar gods will protect us from this abomination."
"OMG, the abomination is eating our gods!"
"Run! Its gonna eat us next!"
It’s eating them! And then it’s gonna eat me!
OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!
"Why didn't you just buy a house before you ran out of money?"
"because I was spending it too fast and didn't think that I would run out."
The Aeldari really should have explored other galaxies as a way to alleviate their boredom than do so much over the top super fun times they made The Boys' Hero-Ga-Sm look tame in comparison.
The issue with that is the fact that the whole Aeldari race was created for war, and not evolutionized by themselves. They don't have enough curiosity compared to humans to continuously focus on advancing and expanding to other galaxies and get bored instead.
@@sydorovich2532 I think going into other galaxies would make for plenty of wars. Imagine them encountering the nids ten thousand years early.
@@sydorovich2532tyranids:
Is there even Intergalactic travel in the 40K setting?
I know the 'Nids can do it, but its extremely slow compared to Warp travel, and Warp travel only works in places where the Warp is a thing, I.E. a galaxy if living feeling beings.
They'd probably have to go sub-light outside of the galaxy, in huge sleeper ships.
@@henrypaleveda7760that’s the point they seek power and domination, not self improvement and knowledge. There arrogance was similar to the machanicus to where they thought they didn’t have anything else to learn.
Now I can't stop imagining groups of Eldar who were entertaining themselves via painting, fencing, sculpting, gardening, hittin the gym, and so on, hearing about Slaanesh and thinking "Oh, they'll help us be less bored? Cool." and goin back to their hobby thinkin nothin of it; and when Slaanesh was born and started destroying everything their people made and thinkin to themselves " *_OH_* . . . well shit, probably should've been more weary of Slaanesh in hindsight. 0_0 "
I honestly feel bad for those Eldars, just minding their own business and ended up in Asmodeus's worst nightmare all because their neighbor didn't go to horny maximum security prison.
Right? And the worst part is that the Eldar most responsible for the Fall were in Commoragh, survived the Fall, and continued doing what they were doing but worse.
Khorne also tried to stop her birth, but Tzeentch was like "nah bro, you have to let it happen. It will anyway."

Hello fellow kreiger

Incorrect
Just to sorta back up the notion that Chaos worship inherently always ends poorly, The Dark King, Big E's almost chaos God form that he was able to resist ascending to would have caused similar events to play out for the human race, which actually implies a few pretty dark things about the way chaos gods work in 40k
1) They are born by sacrificing an entire race of people in a manner specific to their coming divine domain.
2) They themselves may actually be a mortal yet exceptional member of this race.
3) This means that 3 other galactic empires have fallen in similar manners, one to spawn Tzeentch, one to spawn Khorne, and one to spawn Nurgle.
I actually think the fall of the Krorks is what spawned Khorne, they basically embodied exactly what it would take for Khorne to have a birth akin to Slaanesh or the Dark King, plus he regularly beefs with Gork and Mork, and the idea that birthing a chaos God turns your society into a twisted parody of its flaws which spawned the chaos God would pretty well explain how Orks went from primarch smacking master strategists to stunty bois who only use guns as much as they do because they have unlimited ammo via shouting Dakka and will occasionally fire an extra infinite round for zero reason, making them extremely efficient at spilling blood for the blood god.
So who fell to tzeench and nurgle?
If I recall correctly the Eldar bombed the Kroks to kingdom come coupled with the fact that they kind of have a built in safe switch that causes them to diminish to whatever the strangest threat is, since the War in Heaven ended they were kind of doomed to become Orks anway or at least a pale shadow of themselves. The Eldar just hastened the process and then some.
Khorne being born of Orks is so hilariously wrong in that Gork and Mork would easily krump the "big" 4 and that Chaos worship is unorky and mukkin about, and leads to krumpin for the weedy git that gets corrupted
@@henrypaleveda7760honestly, I almost think it's darker for them to be big fat question marks, since it just bullet points that idea that the galaxy just eats space fairing races for breakfast, and everyone is doomed to fall eventually.
But if they need answers, the necrons fell to schemes, Tzeentch, and the Old Ones were wiped out by a war started in part over coveting their life giving abilities, which is nurgle adjacent at least. Plus, frog bois, fat green god of slimeyness.
The answer to orks is quite simple they need a threat who isn't stagnant or degenerate to be their best orky Krork self. Basically their a bioweapon built with a kill switch if they achieve their goal.
Tzeentch, Nurgle, and Khorne honestly just make sense being self evident spheres of chaos. Tzeentch can basically come from the inherent desire of intelligent life to understand and control. Khorne is basically a manifestation that doesn't even require intelligent life, since strife among advanced life forms that grew beyond single cell is natural. Nurgle meanwhile is basically the inherent desire of life to overcome the natural cycle to perpetuate itself. Slaneesh just takes more to come to be, since hedonism/excess requires intelligence and prosperity to become a problem that doesn't self correct.
The Emperor also is complicated as it seems likely humanity could have birthed a Chaos God like the Eldar Gods and Tau'va, but the Emperor's suppression of the old religions let daemonic chaos flourish, since he doesn't want to accept you can't defeat the raw essence of chaos, only channel it into a stable form that isn't anti-ethical to your prosperity and safety.
Important thing to ask - was Dark Eldar royal family (the one overthrown by Vect ) royal family of all Eldar Empire or they were just main ones in Commora
In The Weaver Option, the creation of Slaanesh and downfall of the Aeldari civilization was because of Malekith the last Emperor of the Aeldari Empire and his mommy dearest, Morathi.
Isn’t that a worm/warhammer fanfic
You have good taste! To be fair Antony444's other works are also well made. At least what I read. (Let the Galaxy Burn, A different weasel makes a difference, The Dance is not over)
I'm a bit weirded out how easily primarchs die or come back (loyalist and traitors)... And of course the thing with Lelith Hesperax... That was epic!
I thought Malekith and Morathi was from the fantasy setting?
@@IGuyAF what he’s talking about is warhammer fanfic crossover with a web novel called worm
@@deadsea9697Yep, and it's awesome!
Ever since the whole 'Emperor almost became the 5th chaos god' i've begun to wonder if Slaanesh was originally a mortal eldar. So maybe Slaanesh just didn't have anyone to convince them not to turn into a chaos god like the Emperor had ?
Unlikely, the Emperor is just the downside of trying to force humanity to become secular, when all he accomplished was making an ideology that coopts the role religion and thus is as much a religion.
LOL! Your innuendos never cease to make me laugh! The way you just casually toss them in there like that how everyone describes getting beat in a battle.
6:23 Mr Major is advocating for Weimar solutions to Weimar problems. Based.
The Eldar seem to be highly vulnerable to addiction. Asuryani Aeldari just gave up space coke for the gym. Exodites quit wall street to live off grid. And Harlequins literally ran off to join the circus.

If eldar reincarnate with all memories in tact, there is always a newborn eldar, umbilical still intact, who surpases you in everything you do.
Wait ,didn't they just appeared out of thin air when they died?
Or it's the human way?
I remember, there was a bit of fluff in an issue of White Dwarf where Asdrubael Vect did mention there were a bunch of Eldar going around like "Down with this sort of thing!"
Careful now.
A video of the top ten community made wholesome moments would be great
I'm a simple man, I see a new Majorkill vid I click
Majorkill is life🦾🦾🦾
A video about vect and your speculation about the next thing that the Drukhari would do next would be cool, still waiting for some Dark eldar lore video ^^
Superb video as always @majorkill.
Could you make a video dedicated to the Navigators, the major houses, their politics, relation to the overall Imperium and factions,
Can you do a video on what a non chaos motivated heresy would look like?
The "Greater Good" of the Tau'va. XD
Traditional heresy as in the humanity betraying emperor?
Alpha legion, night lord, penitent crusade, astral claw, many other "renegade" since they mostly heresy cus they got fucked by the imperium and seek revenge
A heresy with 0 chaos would get crushed rather quickly, unless more than half of the legions turned traitor, simply because the custodes were kept busy in the webway by chaos. Without that, the custodes and big E being able to leave Terra would tip the scales pretty quickly (not to mention no warpstorms=loyalists can react faster).
That aside, the traitor legions would be able to cooperate much better, so they'd actually be stronger when working together than they actually were during the siege of terra.
Except for the lack of innumerable demon hordes
Well chances are the Emperor would still be around sincee Horus wouldn't have the demonic buffs that brought him to near Emperor powers. Horus would not be able to deliver any sort of telling blow on the Emperor. Good chance Sanguinius would be around too since he would more than likely be able to defeat Horus in single combat. We would see better cohesion among the traitors, but without the hordes of demons assisting them, I can't imagine them doing too well against the loyalists. On top of that, no chaos means that Fulgrim would not have gone traitor. End result is that loyalists win and the decay of the Imperium does not happen, there is Fulgrim still around as a Loyalist and most threats to the Imperium are dealt with easily. Only major threat potentially is the Tyranids.
@@jaysherman2615 not to forget that without big E going into permanent comatose and less warp shenanigans, the imperium wouldn't fall into 10k years of de facto stagnation, so by the time the tyranids showed up, there'd be human planets in the webway, super duper space marines (or a better space marine replacement), better bureaucracy, and generally a more advanced imperium.
1:34 to skip past timmy
Video Idea: Historical normal humans taking on space marines, either loyal or traitor and nearly or even succeeding.
I feel like this is a self answering question where you can't just suddenly make a people decide to be better people and expect them to break extended habits over night.
In some worlds were still under the the place where the screaming vortex is now used to be a massive elder domain
Hell ya more Elves!!!
As always great work MajorKill
Video please: How would big E sperging out and going Derp Kang mode affect the Xenos races?
Eldar ruled for 60 whatever years because necron knew they would destroy themselves and went to sleep
Another major reason was that the Necrons essentially crippled their own chances of victory by turning on the C'tan in order to stop them from eating all life and souls in the galaxy and likely beyond. With the Necrons and C'tan having taken themselves out of the picture, all the Aeldari has to focus on were the Enslavers and the Krork, the latter of which would be in active decline due to the lack of their primary enemies.
These are actually pretty cool. The change was needed
Video idea: what is the only Loyalist Chapter the Deathwatch refuses to recruit from and why?
I want to say the minotuars.
good stuff, i had to pause it and think a few times.
Video idea: how each of the Primarchs viewed Constantine Valdor. A custodes on the level of a primarch.
love your videos man. cheers.
The legend makes some of the best videos out there!
I was just making an alternate universe where the key factor is the topic of the video.
Basically because Slaanesh was not born well, the warp storms did not disperse well until some time later, delaying the crusade a lot, causing the primarchs to not be found, chaos lost its power and was mostly sealed, it is clear that now a lot of even rarer and more specific warp entities gain much more power.
The Eldar gods are still alive but very weakened and they took away their immortality from the Eldar as punishment. Now after dying their soul will simply be devoured and they will cease to exist.
There are other changes but they are minimal, more than anything they are some factions that were saved from oblivion or extermination due to the problems that the main factions had.
Damn wish he extend the sales just got back in my country and just now hearing about the calendar.
A Saul Tarvis video next
Would love a video on underrated or unknown successor chapters from each of the founding chapters would be sick
Now that majorkill is single, he will make mores videos
wait when did that happen?
Asuryan must have felt really dumb for not lowering the barrier to the Materium and allowing the Eldar gods to be more hands on, he never realized they had clearly crossed the Godzilla threshold.
Can you do a video on pre-Slaneesh Human-Aedlari relations? Because wasn't humanity simultaneously going through the Dark Age of Technology during the period where Slaneesh was being born?
@majorkill A video on each of the primarch’s favourite food would be cool. Also a video on how each of the pirmarch’s would react to being implanted with the butcher’s nails would be cool as well.
Warhammer's The Exodite got me intetested in Tau Navy. Please make a video about them, their strategy and battles they fought against Imperium Navy.
I kinda want to see a vid about all of the different Eldar gods coz it sounds like there’s a good few of em
A video on Valerian and Aleya would be pretty cool.
For the eldar, it was like a drug that went beyond understanding. For them to stop, it drove them insane.
Hello Majorkill,
Would you kindly make some lore videos on the Imperial Truth, the Imperial Creed, the Ecclesiarchy? Pretty please? Thank you.
Literally ripping a con while you said “don’t do drugs” 😂
The Yncarne looks a lot like a daemon prince of Slaanesh... or a daemon prince of David Bowie in the movie _Labyrinth!_
i’m a very strong believer that the chaos gods were all existing as neutral entities before the War in Heaven drowned the warp in the countless souls of the tortured and slain. Slaanesh, as a neutral entity, was probably resistant to the change until the eldar kept influencing her.
This is what 65 million years long automated civilization did to Space Elves
Those space elves gone with magitek Matrioshka Brains(that's slapped into their planet-sized ships instead of Dyson spheres deployed at any star cuz latter can be too bulky) to survive Slaanesh
God I wish we had more Eldar lore. Like what kind of emperor they had before the fall. If they even had one.
Alpha Primus video please
Another day, and another request for Majorkill to discuss the warped origins AU
why didnt the addict just stop after his first OD?

Fall of Eldari:

4:08 I love this artwork, where can I find it?
keep up the fuckin fantastic work
Slaanesh was inevitable
It was all orchestrated by a time-traveling Erebus to ensure the birth of a new Chaos god.
I really hope the Emperor doesn't want Slaneesh to be born, but that sounds exactly like the kind of boneheaded move he would make.
I'm curious, why is the calendar launches 3.5 months after the start of the new year? Does the calendar includes 3 or 4 months of following year? Why not lunch the calendar end of summer at Sept to November?
How different do you think the setting would be, and what would be different,if Slaanesh's birth had been stopped?
Well Fulgrim wouldn’t have picked up demon possessed sword, or at least one that was aligned with Slannesh.
*Fetus Deletus!*
You should make a video about why was Erebus and Kor Phaeron even let into the Word Bearers
Bring Back Timmy. Video 51
Are the Dark Eldar the eldar empire as it was or are they a worst case corrupted version who just managed to find a way to avoid she-who-thirsts?
Slaanesh was always there, Eldar just gave it form.
Probably because they liked the idea of using the raw psychic energy of being in ecstasy being able to indefinitely protect a civilization.
Can you explain how the orks were doing during the great crusade and there reaction to primarchs
Hahaha that slippery slope 😅
Day 44 of asking for a dedicated series of videos detailing in depth the Lion El'Heresy
They should’ve manifested a massive clothes hanger warp entity to abort baby Slaanesh
What do the alien races think of specific human armies? Like would they be afraid of some more than others?
I mean them having psychic future scrying youd think theyd have the foresight to avoid the calamity that befell them but apathy took root in their species i guess
The priests should have given the god killing sword to Khaine.
Again, a supreme original video about Slaanesh
>never done before
>one of a kind
>(do not steal)
I hope everything is well, man.
What is worse armor made of? I’ve always wondered as it seems to be made of paper
Is it wraithbone like their constructs or something else?
Silly question but at the start you mention Slaneesh as an enetity was feeding and promoting the desire of the Eldar to eventually reach the levels that birthed Slannesh. Now if that was done to bring Slannesh to life how was Slannesh able to influnce the Eldar to help birth itself?
Does that mean there were 2 stages/births of Slannesh with both having Slannesh being aware of itself?
Naughty little space elves
To be fair with one of the more recent hammer and bolters. insulting Slaanesh once would give her a forever vendetta. Lucius is her favorite for a reason
The Eldar trying to edge Sla'anesh and then spoil finishing just not ruin the galaxy when the average Eldar at the time had the ethics pretty close to the Drukari just wasn't going to happen. The rot spread and wasn't going to be stopped.
The title is wild
Think about it like this your in the end game phase of your rpg play through you’ve unlocked the highest ter gear become op and amassed enough wealth to buy the most expensive items in the game what’s left for you to do
What is the back round music called at 06:47? thanks.
Video recommendation,- what if the Eldar Empire went to war with the Golden age humanity?
Attempt #2: what if Guilliman, the Lion, and Russ made it to terra earlier (with their respective legions)
What would happen to the Dark Eldar if Slaanesh was destroyed? Would they change in any way now that they don't have to fear death?
what I want to know is the relation between golden age human and golden age Eldar
1, because they didnt know until it happened
2, because how could they?!?
Eldrad tried to reach out to the Emperor to form an alliance against Slaanesh, but the Emperor told him to f--k off. Or at least, so Eldrad claimed to a Primarch a couple millennia after the Horus Heresy. Honestly, I believe him though, since the actions he took during the Horus Heresy against the Cabal mean that he did believe humanity's survival was necessary.
