Band BIO:
Lovebites is a Japanese all-female heavy metal band, formed in 2016 by former Destrose members Miho and Haruna. Its lineup consists of Miho on bass, Haruna on drums, Midori and Miyako on guitar, and Asami on vocals. After signing to Victor Entertainment, the group released both their debut EP and their first album, The Lovebites EP and Awakening from Abyss, in 2017 before performing their first overseas concerts at the end of the year.
FUN FACTS about band:
- Although hailing from Tokyo, Lovebites' music is heavily influenced by the new wave of British heavy metal which led their music to be compared to Iron Maiden and Rage
- The group frequently collaborates with former Light Bringer keyboardist Mao on composing and arranging songs.
- Haruna has played drums since she was thirteen years old, and began writing songs on a keyboard at fourteen
- Miyako has played classical piano since she was three and guitar since high school

I have a real holiday for my soul today. I really liked this video. The guitars sounded amazing. The soloist's voice is always so expressive and strong. A blonde with a guitar showed a class of skill. And the whole group directly forced my pulse to increase. In my opinion, this band has one interesting feature - the music keeps a high tempo, and the soloist gives the listener a deeper insight into the music, taking a pause for a while. This is cool! You guys react to the band in a surprisingly organic way. I looked twice again. It is difficult to read, listen, and observe your reaction from one viewing. Thank you, dear ones!

Amazing, isn't it? The 2020 performances are just plain spectacular but they seem to have upped their game from giving 1000% to giving 2000%. Vocals, Drum, Guitars, Bass.

I was there under the strict COVID rules. Asami is always as good as any recording and won’t disappoint you. No slack at all for two hours! This concert was amazing! I am getting the DVD as well!

I already paid my 100€ on the DVDs and it is going to make me very happy when they arrive home together with the tee.
@@Hadesillo We are good fans to accommodate the strict COVID-19 restrictions only to make this concert successful since the original one was canceled and they were able to reschedule it by agreeing to set the strict COVID guidelines to this event. What Asami told us at that time made us understand and feel how emotional and appreciative they were to be able to perform again ever in this uncertain time. It was exactly the same for Babymetal concert that I went before this.
Ah yeah, i saw in the live stream that Su also thank everyone for attending. I hope they all can go back to perform live, moreso now that everyone seems to go on hiatus.

@@thedocofrock1890Well, believe me. I wish you all were there as well. If you like this video, get the DVD. I can guarantee that the quality of entire performance was as good as this one. Even Miyako came out with a portable keyboard, stood next to Midori and harmonized lead notes. You know how rare that is! 🤘

Respect to the BabyMetal T-shirt. Only Japan could produce the likes of BabyMetal, Band Maid, Lovebites to name a few. Midori is the tallest of the Lovebites lady's I believe at 5'2". Their small stature is one of the reasons they wear white on stage to help them strand out. In addition, wearing the traditional metal black attire, they would sink into the shadows of the stage. With every album, with every concert, they keep getting better. After FOAK I thought, ok, this is as good as a band can get and still be human. But it looks like they blew past that standard with this one. Maybe they're not human after all...? Crazy.

Asami, Lyrics; Miyako, Composer The prime song writing team is intact! Miyako Story; When 2 guys decided to form a new band, they wanted a female guitarist. Auditioned quite a few, but they were all too cute for there image they wanted. Some friends of Miyako told her about the auditioning and that she should go. She was leery thinking it may be a rip-off, if went she would be charged for the studio time. Apparently a common scam. But she went and when she walked in one the guys said hire her with out her auditioning THE LOOK!! Anyway the band was 12g and Miyako was a member even as she was also in Lovebites. 12g is disbanded now.

They are awesome but the singer i don’t know. I think she should sing in Japanese because she has a amazing voice.
I listen to the whole song believing that she was singing in Japanese with some English words thrown in. I look up the lyrics and realized that it was English
The purpose of the leader Miho (bass) forming LOVEBITES in 2016 was to create a band that could aim for her own dream of "playing at WACKEN OPEN AIR."
It was something that no Japanese female band had ever achieved. For that reason, they searched for a singer who could sing English lyrics, and scouted Asami, an R & B / Soul singer who didn't know metal at all.
It's much easier to write lyrics in Japanese, but English lyrics were the best way to convey their message to the world. Of the more than 50 songs they have made so far, only one has Japanese lyrics.
Ironically, Miho's dream was easily achieved in 2018, and she left LOVEBITES on the 17th of this month.

It's subjective. I don't mind her singing in English. She has a great voice either way and her English has only improved over the years. And it fits their sound, more inspired by Western metal bands.
