I'm 57 years old. Have seen hundreds of concerts in the States over that time. The biggest of the Big Rock/Metal names. Gonna tell you none of those past bands sounded as tight and as fierce as this band does and I am not just saying that lightly. Most band do not perform this well live btw. I was raised on Moore,Rhoads,EVH, Yngwie,Takasaki,Gilbert,Vai,etc.......... and each of these musicians in LoveBites can easily be mentioned in the same breath as the Past Greats. These musicians may have saved Metal for 1000'a and 1000's of people and World Wide.
I agree with all of that, but BandMaid has to be added as well. Both such awesome bands. Japan has saved Rock and Metal!
Agree with all of that. Nightwish is the only one I have seen that sound way better live than in studio, and put on an amazing live show. They're the only ones this tight. I'd love to see them live. Saw Nightwish, but I have to see Lovebites. Best metal band in decades.
Bassist miho left the band mid august, this concert was in march, so the entire DVD coming this month will still have miho in it.

Another excellent reaction. There are great vocal harmonies as well as call and response in "Empty Daydream".
That Miho woman has left the band. She now sits behind her house in the garden, smells beautiful flowers and cuddles with her cat. We fans hope that she will soon come to her senses again, take her bass back into her hands and do what she was born: play speed bass, head banging and play rock n roll, that the devil flees from hell ...

That's why you can't put LOVEBITES in a box and think "This is their lyric style or music style" They can sing and play, anything any style. So just approach their music with an open mind and enjoy whatever they will serve, because whatever it is, it will be delicious!
This song (and the video) is a part of their "Ride of Vengeance" tour that was performed around March 2021, when Miho was still in the band. Yes many of their song has a happy or uplifting aura especially in the lyrics, but some songs are heavier and darker, especially those with thrash metal vibes on them. "Set The World On Fire" is definitely one of them.
I've said before, & I'll say it again. they've created their own sub genre of metal. "Class Metal"
Since I first discovered them, Lovebites have constantly raised the bar with every concert, every album. It's crazy. This concert was in March. Miho left in August. We are all still in mourning. Miho has left the band, this video was released before her announcement upon leaving the band. They have a greatest hits(type), CD/bluray set out called, In the beginning 2017 to 2021. Remember they have only been around for 4 years.
Check out “Raise Some Hell” LIVE from their Zepp Divercity concert 2029 in Tokyo. Mindoro and the ladies are very active on stage in that one.
Only Asami can add grace to a brutally heavy song. They are absolutely flawless. They are so dynamic and versatile. Just about every song, they bring something different but without losing their style. I cannot say enough good things about them.
the actual concert was in March on the 26th and was released to CZcams in August incidently same month Miho announced she's leaving. the whole concert was in March so Miho was still active with them.

Asami has her foot on her monitor. She doesn't use in ear monitors, so she has a floor speaker like guitarists usually do. She feels the the low frequencies associated with the drums/bass when she wants to make sure she is in sync with the band.
Every member in Lovebites uses IEMs these days, even Asami-san (look at the original video at 2:03). Previously only Haruna-san used IEMs for the click tracks, but IEMs are a great way for musicians to protect their hearing as well, as they block the external sound from the PA, drums and amps on stage. Each member can have their own mix, and set the audio level themselves. But wedges are still used to "feel" the beat as well, as you said. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻

def your headphones, I could barely hear them either on this reaction. Either way, I was legit waiting for you to react to this one, this really shows just how talented this band truly is. To be able to maintain a song this fast at near perfection is insane, and the speed and technicals of the solos are absolutely breathtaking. This is old-school thrash metal done right, if I was any of the big boys, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, I would legit be sweating if they opened for me, I think these ladies could handle or surpass any of them, just my opinion.

I mentioned this in another video of yours, but if you want to see the other girls singing too... You need to see their 2019 performance of "Empty Daydream"... Trust me it's worth it! And you might want to do it soon, as the band went on Twitter to ask fans not to repost their live shows without permission, so it's highly likely that videos posted by any channel other than the band or their record labels could disappear.
Also, this video is a clip from their upcoming live album/Blu-Ray that was filmed earlier this year. The bassist Miho just announced her leaving the group a week or so ago. As a result the band have announced that they're taking a hiatus from all activities (they are not on tour) until further notice. It doesn't help that Japan are in another lockdown with surges of 'varus' cases, so that could be another reason. I'm a bit worried, however Miho has given her blessing for the band to continue without her... And if that's good enough for her than it's good enough for me.
Thank you so much for this amazing reaction video, Anastasia Luna. Yes, my opinion is that this song is one of the best songs in the history of Heavy Metal. It's dark song. This live show is also the last performance with Miho Rosana. I wish the whole band all the best. Of course Miho as well. Miyako and Midori are almost the best guitarists and the best guitar pairs in the world. Miyako is one of the greatest musical talents of recent years. She is my the most favorite musician. The video was released in August, as a teaser for their upcoming live DVD Heavy Metal Never Dies. But the actual performance was March 21st. Miho announced her departure on August 17th, a week before this video was released. On the good side, Asami made an announcement to the Lovebites Fan Club yesterday that after a short break, the remaining four have decided to continue as Lovebites. She didn't say anything about the bass, so we're not sure if they're going to audition new bassists, or have Miyako handle bass duties for now. I look forward to whatever they bring going forward, as well as to what the future has in store for Miho!
As a long time metalhead from late 80s and an Asian, I never imagined a bunch of Asian ladies who looked like myself will save metal from its extinction from public consciousness. Not to sound pessimistic but metal is a dying art and its good to see these ladies reviving it
The movement of the stage performance depends on the context of the song. Check out "Lovebites Raise Some Hell (live at zepp divercity tokyo)" where you can see them running across the stage and seeing the singers dancing. I mentioned Empty Daydream in your Thunder Vengeance reaction and it's a good time to mention it again. Although only two of the ladies sing backing vocals on this song, they are the best backing vocals in any Lovebites song. The classical piano prelude and almost lounge singer or jazz club-style intro in the live version only make it even better. Great review as always. Ok, you've got explained what happened to Miho. The other question, the song in a church is called Glory to the World. You say you love the blond guitarist. Try Break the Wall live at Zepp Diver City 2020. She shines and is aggressive and intense in that song. It's not a song for the singer but for Midori the blond guitarist. you'll love it.

Empty Daydream from 2019 in Tokyo is the song you are looking for :) Also if you like another very different side of them, more like classic rock, then check out Dancing with the devil. It's a song composed by your crush, Midori (blond guitarist) and Asami (vocalist) really have some fun with her voice there.

Empty Daydream LIVE (czcams.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/video.html) will give better backing vocals but your heartthrob Midori doesn't do the vocals as I recall only Miyako and Miho do. You also get Miyako on the piano and Asami really shines on the vocals. Very aggressive and the best Thrash Metal played LIVE by any band. Miho was still with the band during this tour (less than 50% capacity, assigned seats and clapping only were the restrictions) and left on August 17, 2021 after the tour ended. This is part of the new LIVE concert album coming the end of September. I had tickets to NW on 10/5 it really sucks but I am afraid a lot of bands will be avoiding the States for the rest of 2021, so I hope your other concerts do go off as scheduled. Love the reaction FAN GIRL (I mean that as a compliment too) this band makes you smile and bubble I love it. Asami seems to use the beat and the drummer foot to shake the excess energy as you said she couldn't last at this pace jumping and belting.

Pure thrash metal awesomeness! Whatever subgenre Lovebites play, they are second to none. Helloooo, Anastasia. My favorite, besides the genius of the band, is Miyako. In heavy metal bands, especially men, when they play guitar solos, everyone puts on weird faces, which more idiot. Miyako, she plays better than many of them and she doesn't need to gesticulate or make weird faces. I love his knowing how to be on stage. A strong metal hug
I've realized: the songs with words written by Asami & Miyako all seem to be the "Happy" / motivational songs. The lyrics to songs written by Miho, however, were/are *consistently* and deeply darker (with fairly violent imagery). Taking everything into context, it's maybe not JUST the death of her father that troubles her; there's something else equally dark (if not darker) that's been haunting her all along.
With respect, a few points:
"words written by Asami & Miyako" is incorrect in that Miyako does not write lyrics, only music. The only song with Miyako included as lyricist is "Holy War" with lyrics credited to "LOVEBITES".
Asami has also written numerous songs with lyrics at least "deeply darker (with fairly violent imagery)."
"Paranoia" in particular being the song depicting the darkest and most violent scenario in the entire LOVEBITES catalog, imo.
While this list of lyrics by Asami are as 'Dark' as any of Miho's lyrics, imo.

Additionally, all LOVEBITES "positive songs" include aspects of life's struggles, challenges, pitfalls and tragedies, while most all also introduce the important aspects of encouragement, empathic-self-empowerment, perseverance, integrity, dignity, personal-responsibility and unity in love, NOT violent reactions to those challenges.
Considering the total number of song contributions by each, I would say it is about even (Miho or Asami/dark or light), though Miho's songs are more inclined toward Thrash music with those lyrics, possibly giving a 'darker' impression, while her lyrics are also inclined to be more 'Cryptic-Metal' type lyrics while Asami's are more as a personal experience, which can make them more personal for listeners.
All of this, in my opinion, of course... \m/ LOVEBITES !!!!! \m/

In my opinion Thrash metal doesn't represent Asami vocal(maybe because the structur of the song/lyrics). She is great on power/symphonic metal, prog metal,hardrock and ballad. Try with slower song such as: Epilogue, Empty Daydream, Burden Of Time

Yes Miho has left the band. From what I've read she is still finding it hard to get over the death of her father. It just finally caught up with her. Have a look at this song, about her fathers passing, just a few months before this concert. Lyrics were written by Miho, with the music composed by her and Miyako. If you don't shed a tear for her at one point, you have no soul. I'm an old 63yo rocker. I've seen a lot. I weep every time I see it. They are good musicians no doubt about it, but I think the vocalist sings a little lightly, she could have had a little more punsh in her voice , That's just my opinion
