A real car guy will never hate on another's car, lovely car and sound, might not be one of fastest cars but as long as the owner gets enjoyment out of it lekker
The RXI is was released when I was in grade 8. The architecture of the vehicle is absolutely beautiful, interior and exterior. It's a legend with a cult following and one of my all time favourites.
Very clean car. Lovely 20v there and sounds awesome. Great that there is still guys out there that love the 20vs
I'm a Toyota fanatic, I own an rxi....the owner is 100 percent on point. Open stacks kill torque somehow but it sounds great. Secondly yes got cams, it just needs a standalone ecu and you'll see a different car. The OEM ecu relies heavily on knock sensor and lambda, so he's not getting the full benefit of that extra duration cam. I feel tho that the TRD thinner gasket is risky longterm.... Stock compression is already on the high side. Speaking from experience, pray your car never overheats...
All in all an exceptional example of a 20v

Joh its amazing how much difference Joburg altitude can make..I mean it looks slow but screaming, same car in Cape Town will make much more power, move faster. 90kw in Joburg, that same car makes over 120kw in Cape Town. Great Content Niyaaz, really enjoying this Joburg series
Not to be rude but I don't think it's a limited edition Rsi was a full production car...probably the reason why you dont find much of the Rsi 6spd cause people felt why spend that much when if I put a little extra il get the Rxi which was full house....Limited edition corolla of that Era would be Sliver Jubilee the Ruby limited the 160i Gls....just my thoughts...
I know, it's slow guys, but apples for apples, come race me then we talk, lol, I really enjoy this car and if you go view on tik tok u will see a small taste of what this car can do at altitude, so with stock ecu wen I come to coast it does more damage. All in all I love it and I don't care win or lose🙏💪
This car is very strong 💪🏾 people dont understand how much power is loss at altitude and also how limited the cam choice was on stock ecu👍🏾
Spot on. Stock ECU is closed loop and can not be chipped like other ECU’s as the tune will be overwritten.
Also cam choice, above 9mm lift you lose vvt. I stand to be corrected
I own a 4AGE 20V in my 96 rolla and I’m in love with it!! The ITB’s makes the magic. With the 6 speeds LSD trans it’s so awesome

Beautiful car and it sounds heavenly! throttled 4AGE engines are some of the best sounding inline 4 cyls.

Some guys actually like cars that are still analog, have Character and doesnt sound like explosive diarrhea or poop-N-bang whenever they take their foot of the throttle.

Sounds great, and people need to remember its only a 1.6L up at altitude so it goes well. From a hondakop but it puts a smile on the owners face is the important thing.
my dream car when it came out late 90's. I remember the car did a sub 8 sec 0-100 with the 5 spd, was slower in 6 spd as you needed third gear. had the best kw/rand of its day, faster tested than the vtec. respect

@@nazmo_za9654 my only point was my friend raced b20v n he raced against silvertop 20v so as soon he gets into vtec mode silvertop was no where to be seen ... Since u made a statement so I was just curious to know againt which engines u raced

The mini vid seems fine however the main one is slowed down to another level, the trees don't move at the same speed....
It could be the camera is focused into the distance

Where can I find the 4age 20v blacktop TRD gasket?
Those 20valves made 115kW at 7800 and 157Nm at 5600. Not 120kW. But still a nice to have collectors item!

The hottest engine we ever got here was a 4A-FE or 3ZZ-FE 1.6, mine is the 1.3i 4E-FE ha ha ha

@hondatrix shame man. U racing kuk then next time u in jhb come race. I'll how u how I have a civic with cams, headwork and induction gaps with a stock 20v.
Not all cars are built for racing. It has the look & sound to keep the owner happy. Each to his own.. Respect.
