Another job well done, my friend. This video had only been posted for 27 seconds and I just had to drop what I was doing and watch it! Lol. You are fast becoming my favorite CZcams presenter! Now, if you’ll excuse me; I have stuff of my own to fix!
Just got done fixing my MTD edger. I am having trouble with putting the linkage back right. I was hoping you'd discuss and show how you reconnected the linkage but you were too far away to see what you did. . Other than that good job.
Understood, I will make a video on this topic but most of my videos cover this. Watch any of my mower vids for example! All of my diagnostics now go the same way...
@@TheNovaJohn I put a little fuel again in the carb and it worked. I was able to edge, but then I couldn't get it to shut off. I put the choke in and after maybe a half minute it finally stopped. I checked the fuel and air filter. I'm not sure how to check the compression.
I sold it but I have a few others slated for spring. Amazon has the diaphragm or bladder as some call it. there isn't much to this carb. Very common engine on these machines. I have new camera's now so the next video will be more in depth
I got one of these in a salvage hunt. Got two of them actually. Can’t wait to get them going. Using your video as a guide. Great work.
Thanx,, Good luck with them!
This was one of my 1st videos a couple of years ago
You didn’t show how to remove the fuel tank and carburetor to clean
Yea three years ago when I started I didn't have the equipment to get some shots! Takes time and money most of which new tubers don't have.

i've got an old Tru Cut Lawn Edger TC-370B with a Briggs & Stratton 3.5 hp. Won't run, don't know the first place to start to diagnose and repair.

@@TheNovaJohn I'm looking up how to check the compression. Hopefully it will fix the problem.
I have the same edger and wondering if you know the model number so I can get a carb kit?
I sold it but I have a few others slated for spring.

I need the number off the belt, please sir.
Older video and I sold that machine some time ago,, take your belt off and bring it to a parts dealer to match it up
@@TheNovaJohn I bought it at the Goodwill today for $20. It didn't have a belt on it.
There should be a model number on it,,, you can search that number and find a belt
