A film now from the collection of a now departed friend. Having seen my videos taken since 1985 he was inspired to go out and buy his own video camera and get filming. I have been digitising them and converting the Video8 tapes to MP4. This upload shows some West London bus action at South Ruislip, Queensbury, Camrose Avenue, Acton Main Line, Twickenham & Hammersmith Bus Station. We see routes 9, 27, 72, 266, 267, 288, 295, 509 E7 and Central Line Special Railway Service. Vehicles seen are an AEC Merlin MB (on SRS), MCW Metrobus, Routemaster & Dennis Darts. I drove 267, 288 and 295 at the time in Sydney using Mercedes, MAN and Scania buses with Aussie bodies by Pressed Metal Corporation and Ansair respectively.
I was gobsmacked to see a Merlin.
A guy in Sydney recently restored one in a subsequent Aussie company livery of Eggins Taree. If you look up the channel Steve's Stuff you can see it for yourself.

oof! none of them looks powerful; just ultra dinky
