I just took the nozzle off an old can of high build primer and it worked amazingly, just look around for a few old cans and try different nozzles until you find the perfect one. High build primer cans have a nice wide spray pattern

If the "dip nozzle" is so much better then the standard spray cap it should just be included with your products instead of charging your valued customers more money. Just my opinion but I guess you have to get every dime you can... Can't be mad at that

Yeah just did my hood and had the same issue. Looks like I put a damn fur coat on it. But ha its my first attempt and I still like it. Will be correcting in the next few weeks.
They do not own plastie dip its a separate company!

What does that matter? They get the Plasti-Dip and the nozzles shipped to them and they ship them to their customers from there. I would be very easy to replace the tips. Or have a drop down option when ordering a can to have the better nozzle for like an extra $1.00 and then people who want it can get it and people who don't won't have to worry about it.

This was a great idea. I went threw all the spray can products in my house till I found one with a male end. I switched it to the Plasti Dip can and it worked awesome!

I dip my wheels often, and I was skeptical at first, but t was cheap and i figured id try it. OMG, it was well worth it! Great job!!!

I've been submerging my cans in hot water for the past few months to keep the cans warm in between layers. Works great. Keeps sprays consistent and even , without clumps.
i kind of figured cause this one looks like it works alot better!!!
So why not just make the can come with the dip nozzle

I like that you addressed the weather when using the cans. I definitely notice this, I live in Delaware and it was way below 60 degrees and the dip gums up and the spray pattern is significantly disrupted. I store my cans inside my house to keep them warm, the protein shaker with warm water is a great idea. I also noticed and this is something dippers should take into consideration when dipping rims. If the weather is not warm when you are dipping I suggest masking off the tire completely
I have considered doing my whole car with cans because my trunk turned out so well and now with this new nozzle it should be A LOT easier! I wish I had the money for a whole car kit but if I can do it with cans I think it would motivate a lot more people to get into this stuff.
I have seen a lot of bikes that people have plasti dipped. They look beautiful. I plan on using it on the windshield of my bike

Man I ordered my kit last weekend. Shoulda waited to grab these.
Wow very nice, I have to redo my rims when summer comes due to new tires being put on and some minor damage occurred, but otherwise my plastdip has been perfect for over 1.5 years through all degrees of weather!
The dip in cold weather will be extremely difficult to get off your tires if you do not mask them off. You the man Fanzi !
clump on nozzle totally messed up my first attempt... right on the final coat! lol
Forgot, too eager lol. One thing for sure, wait to dry if messed up.. otherwise impossible to get off to redo. Good think just a cheap phone case.
Could I just take a spray paint can nozzle and pop it on my plastidip can? That looks like a standard spraypaint nozzle to me.

just did my wheels again with the dip nozzle...wow...no texture and also used it on the glossifier cans and they turned out amazing:) thumbs up on the dip nozzle

Without the nozzle it’s 4-6 coats

Thanks a lot for the tips on temperature, I'm in boston and the temp can get pretty cold here.
The standard nozzle is better becuase it does lighter coats, so the final result will look better
+Breaking rc standard is great for slowly building up product then the dip nozzle for the wet coats to make it look super smooth.
+1 on painting full car with this
Fonzie, so I bought this spray nozzle and was pretty disappointed. The regular nozzle definitely sprays skinnier but it is a lot more finer and misty. The spray nozzle just spat a lot of the dip out. And the cans were warm, I soaked them in a bucket of warm water for 10 mins. I usually am happy with all of your products. Good thing the spray nozzle was under two bucks. Lol
well i bought the product to put before dipping it, the one you have on your website, as well 5 bottles of plasti dip (black), i hope it last for the 4 wheels and some extra... also bought the dip nozzle. thanks man

Does this effect how you like the first coat to be "dusty and tacky" so it adheres better? Looks like it might put out too much.

I wish I would had seen this video before I put stripes on my car. I had the exact prob. Fonzie described about the spray coming out clumpy. I had no idea it had to do with the cold weather. Oh well! Now I know! And knowing is half the battle! On too the next project :)
I used the regular noozle my first attempt and my hood was fuzzy hahaha also will this help with the texturing that occurs with reg nozzle

can you use the same dip nozzle for different cans? like colors as well?
Fonzie said they used to do it by can all the time ... but then they started to get the sprayable gallons and that's when they switched to the sprayer ... so it can be done, but like he says, it was much harder to get the right texture out of the cans on a whole car ...

You guys should invent a battery powered sleeve that goes around the can to keep it warm in cold weather areas. I think they would be one of the most bought item in your store. It's ridiculously annoying to Dip in the cold. Boom free idea. Make it! :)
Fonzie, When dipping wheels what do you use to remove the plastidip on the tires after?
Can you do a black with a small amount of red flake in it. But so it still looks black but in sunlight has a faint shimmer of red
Funny how you can find these and various other assorted spray caps at your local graffiti supply shop. Might sound ridiculous to some but it's true, Ironlak, Montana or MTN, Aero Junkies for about 80 cents each. There's plenty of these shops here in SF

I have iron lak cans, & I'd like to see soon what the output results are, hope its compatible with my plasti dip can. Needs a comfort spray tip.
it is not compatible with the male stem caps of these cans, or specifically iron lak. it may go on but it will not spray right & won't properly fit stem hole. drips everywhere. unless they make other specific spray caps with a bigger fatter stem.

Soo this nozzle works on the glosifiers? Getting my package tmrw :D painting my whole car that anthracite grey with cans. Putting down a couple coats of the black as a "base coat"(help cover up more...and cheaper) lol than putting down coats of the grey then about 2-3 coats glorifier :D
Im planning on dipping my Charger Matte white. does using the spray can give you a lesser product then using the paint gun?
I've been having the same issue with two of the nozzles that I have. I had to go back to the stock nozzles because I wasn't able to figure it out. Today I let them soak in rubbing alcohol and dried them out, blew out the bottom on the nozzle. I am going to wait till tomorrow to see if it worked or not. I hope so because I don't like using the stock nozzles.

I have the same problem with others who reported drips due to build-up especially on big horizontal & flat areas. Drips are worse with a trigger. I settled for a vinyl wrap instead.
I emailed them about it but never got a response back.
keep in mind. wider spray means u will use more than the regular tip. something I don't mind at all. I'm a graffiti writer. we use similar tips on paint cans.
I'm going to try Using another spray can's nozzle and put it on plastidip spray can to see if this red nozzle will be different
do the new cans of plasti dip come with this nozzle? i saw them at autozone and they don't have the large white cap. it's a smaller red nozzle.
Dipyoucar could you please make a gold or bronze color dip? It would really look good on rally cars
Will you be dipping a whole car with the aerosol cans now to fully demonstrate the effectiveness of this nozzle? If you do and it comes out good, I will probably purchase 20 cans to dip my car. Since I can't buy the pro car kit in California.

I think you should include the dip nozzle with all the cans , we are valued customers.
Raymond perez unfortunately it’s not up to DYC which nozzles come on the cans. The manufacturer Plasti Dip manages that - all we can do is offer the nozzles as replacements for those who prefer it.
If you where to spray upside down till it just sprays co ? Would it clean it better !
is their any predip requirements you must do like sand the paint or clean besides the predip spray ?

I use plasti dip often and i have found that spraying from a farther distance makes the dip have much more texture, will this do the same thing?
Wow!! >_< i'm barely seeing this and watching this earlier back acouple months would've helped me alot More🙈. I live in michigan and couple months ago when it was pretty cold decided to dip my tailgate,roof, and front bumper on my srt4 and the spray pattern was horrible and would spray blobs and drips 👎💀watching this earlier would of helped alot But THANKS Fonzie now i know for next time :) 👍
