"You shall receive the same terms you gave my nephew Maelor."
Daeron the Daring burned that village after...good
I hope the don't shy away from this scene. We want to see this unfold on screen.
Hope they do this proper in hotd
They will
they will. but this event will take a while to hapen in the show
I don't think they will. It's too graphic and violent.
@@nocgenius5255 they did the same with GOT, for several seasons at least.
@@nocgenius5255Corlys 😅
You shall receive the same terms you gave my nephew Maelor.
Love Daeron for this. Maelor was an innocent.
RIP to Ser Rickard as well. He didn't deserve what happened to him
" maelor was innocent" so where many people in the village not everyone was responsible yet daeron had them killed anyway he's not the good guy here .
@@thatoneblackdude3333didn't say what he did was good. Only said I love him for it, anyway. Obviously Daeron was in the wrong, but I get it
Common folk always get fucked up in situations like this,as Jorah asked Barristan did he fought in war where civilians weren't killed by thousands, but at least justice catch all fucking greens
@@InfamousB9 Blacks suck ass, Greens are where it's at
@@InfamousB9
Lmao, the common folk literally tore a child apart. I have no sympathy for those involved
I know hindsight is 20:20 but traveling through the countryside with a Targaryen princeling without dyeing his hair and keeping a low profile is peak stupidity.
If you want to know how it's done look no further that how that Night's Watchman Yorren transported Arya. He cut her hair and passed her off as a boy.
I think it’s cuz there wasn’t enough time to dye his hair as they had to escape right when she took over
Don’t flash your cash either.
Blood & Cheese, Bitterbridge (both instances) and Tumbleton are all gonna be the “oh shit” episodes of the remaining HoD run. Season 1 gonna seem all dainty and quaint in comparison.
And Rooks Rest
Lady Caswell was a idiot for trying to play both sides, she sent Maelor’s remains and the knight’s body to kings landing to claim reward for Maelor from blacks, and then tried to give dragon egg as leverage to Greens to avoid any wrath.
I think that’s what pissed Daeron so much, that she claimed she was sorry and that she had nothing to do with it, while sending his remains to the blacks to claim the bounty that led to his death by being torn apart by the mob of her people and thought giving him the egg was better.
Terrible what happen to this poor child . Suck that these wars the children get have some of the most brutal death.. Ser Rickhard serve his King well while he fail to protect the young prince he did fight off many foes until he was overwhelmed.
The blacks will find a way to justify this and claim Prince Maelor was a demon boy who wanted to harm Rhaenyra so she had to protect herself.
This is going to be so heart breaking in the show
Thank you for the great content.
Great story, well read
davidreadsasoiaf for every book. yw
This event is tragic and epic NEEDS TO BE ADAPTED 1x1 from the book , PRAYING THIS HAPPENS but im not sure because i dont think the show will develop a lot the kingsguard character to make us care for this particular knight and his sacrifice, but praying at least this event is adapted 99% from the book writings
A tragedy indeed. the town paid the price with fire and blood💚🔥
there’s no reason to introduce lord caswel if there gonna forget this story and what happens to both of haleanas kids is so trajic it really makes the story there’s no skipping bitter bridge
where is the map you use from/a link to it please?
First to comment & to take the black…
Lady Caswell tragic ending she has
Ser Rickard Thorne the GOAT
Ser Rickard Thorne was the best Kingsguard
Bitterbridge is quite aptly named
Damn this is so heavy. The greens executed an entire town over something almost everyone had no hand in. Will be a harrowing event in the show for sure.
I'd agree but look at it this way. Only three people were punished; one of them was just a guy whos horse got stolen. The mob didn't get punished, the guards show shot Thorne down didnt get punished.
For sure. In the show Lord Castwell pretended to swear loyalty only to try and escape immediately after to the other side. In both the show and books the Greens execute him and Maelor's death was on their land as well. The Greens definitely hate them.
The whole Dance was extremely horrific and bloody with massacres the most common dish served to those of the other side. It is based largely on the English civil war, which was unfortunately very brutal in the real world as well.
Is ser Allister Thorne a descendent from this Thorne?
Probably a relative but part of the Kingsguard oath is to remain chaste and father no children, so, he would probably be a distant great uncle or something.
House Thorne is a noble house from the Crownlands. Ser Allister was an Mad King loyalist in King's Landing when Tywin Lannister sacked the city and sent him to the wall. Ser Rickard was a knight of the kingsguard who fathered no children, so they are relatives yes, but not direct descendants.
Luckily Wolf from North didn't forget none of this ⚔🐺
I hope this whole scene is like 15-20 of the episode.
🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
I'm assuming the worst that this will happen offscreen in the show or will never happen at all.
daeron targaryen = lucas lynggaard tønnesen
This is one thing I wouldn't mind the show toning down. Seeing small children go through stuff like this really upsets me.
"Just send your heir with one knight and no escort through a war torn country bro, he'll be fine!" words of Larys probably
I wanna see blood and cheese
Rickard Thorne was afool. Why he stops at bitterbridge place belongs to blacks. He must have go to Longtable only 30 leagues away.
No one won this war lol. I think George made that point clear. War is bad.
Great video btw
True but one side went totally extinct at the end and the other gave rise to every king till joeffry.
@@drrohanjacob5343 Hightowers still rule oldtown while the Targs are extint.
It is a poor shephard that blames their flock. Should've known killing several dudes wasn't going to cut it.
