Bone marrow procedure involves taking the bone marrow for testing. The procedure is usually done in the sternum and posterior superior iliac vein. For children below 2 years of age, it is done from the tibia bone.
When is the bone marrow test done?
✅ Persistent low haemoglobin levels. Not responding to other treatments.
✅ Low WBC counts
✅ Low platelet counts
