Air Supply - Live in Costa Rica (1988, video)

- The venue of this rare concert was El Estádio Municipal de Tibás, San José, Costa Rica, in 1988. It was originally recorded to TV by Univisión de Costa Rica, Canal 2.
The concert became available worldwide in June, 2020, thanks to a local TV show called "80's Y Más" (The 80's and More) presented by Mau Alvarado. Unfortunately, it's not complete. I guess 40 minutes or so were cut off. However, it does worth a while seeing Russell with his vocal at its peak and Graham more electric and joyful than ever.
I don't have the copyright of this TV broadcast. I hope they won't block this post, because my intent is only reach the most fans I can with it. Here in youtube I'm posting an edit version of the show. The TV adds and the Spanish intro by Mau Alvarado have been removed so that the fans here could concentrate on the show itself. I hope it won't be disrespectful. It wasn't my intention.

I've always been more of an R & B Classic Rock musician, but appreciate the SongsSmith's of soft rock. These guys have stood the test time.
"Never Fade Away" is an extremely difficult song to sing, but Russell pulled it off live with no visible effort. Simply unbelievable.

Entristece saber que tem muita gente com muita coisa guardada (não sei pra quê nem pra quem!) e nunca compartilha. Os fãs merecem saber e ter esse acervo. Pra você ter uma ideia, nem a banda possui os shows gravados. Eles poderiam pedir um registro todo direitinho dessas turnês, mas não o fazem.

Hi, Tony ! Wow !! You had discovered another great live in 1988, thank you very much. The sound quality is excellent and it's nice to see great audience in Costa Rica. Also, I was surprised that AS sang The Earth Is songs in 1988 already !!
Yes, Jusei. It's curious how they use to sing so many unreleased good songs years before they entered into the studios to finally record them. Then they sometimes change their lyrics, some of their melodic line etc. I get sad that lots of those great songs have been put aside for years. Ah, Graham presents their brand new song "Stronger than the night" and tells the audience it'll be included on their new album next week lol It'd only be released in 1991 and in 1994 in Brazil (!!)
@@djtonybrazil a good example of that is make it right from Air supply ..saw them in concert then the lyrics changed on the LP

When they were in Brazil back in 2008 (after more than a decade they had last performed here!), they had a brand new song called "Let Me Be The One", an acoustic song with Russell singing along with Graham on the guitar only. It was and still is one of the best and emotional songs I've ever heard by them. Just the title is fantastic. Well, they sang it during their tour in all cities where they had been to. All fans went crazy! Now if you ask me why they never made it go to a cd, I couldn't asnwer. I wonder if they could too...
