Sick vid! Do you think it's easier to loop with a landboard or in the water? I would think land since there is less drag than in the water. Either way sick shit!
So it's similar as the basic skills are the same.
On land you lack the ability to carve and edge your board into the surface like you can on the water giving you grip. When you power up the kite on a land board you just slide towards the kite so you have to adapt your technique and in thus case utilise the much more grippy tarmac surface to get the ultimate loop, there are other options to compensate too. The downside is the land is hard so even in a bail you need to know where the kite is and figure out how to land. The plus side is that the ground doesn't move so you find a nice line and you can use it over and over.
On the water you can edge into the water much better to create pop anywhere but you have to dodge the chop. Landings are fine as you can splash.
Kiteloops are great fun on land and water 🤙
@@DavidUrsell Nice, have you ever crashed from a loop on land? Im just learning how to loop myself, and sometimes have squirrelly landings on water. I couldn't imagine bailing a loop on land, you cant even land on your butt if things go wrong...
@Curtis the Moonboy yes mate I slide out loops, if we need to you can spread the landing, there's a few techniques.
Aj had a big crash pulling the first big boogie loop on land about 15yrs ago.. can't remember which video but he comes down hard!
Hi. Do you use the light or heavier setting on the steering lines?
I usually use the lightest or medium settings on all the kites. And the lighter setting on the Rebels to get easier sharp turning

Hi, does the kite fly well with the high split removed?
Yes mate it flies fine. You'd get slightly better performance on high v but I don't notice it much. I have a low v so I can mount a go pro 🤙
