I'd love to see Bradley Walsh appear on an episode of Pointless and Richard Osman likewise appearing on The Chase. Have they done this before?

As an American, I love watching episodes of The Chase a lot on CZcams. ITV is my main go-to place for British game shows. The 1% of BBC that I watch is Pointless mainly because it goes head-to-head with The Chase. I would love it if Pointless came here to America, preferably as a syndicated show because of the rolling jackpot. The reason is because except for The Price Is Right and Let's Make a Deal on CBS, daytime network game shows are a thing of the past. We've gotten our version of The Chase, why not get our own version of Pointless.
Who do you think would be a suitable host for US pointless?

I absolutely love The Chase!!! I like Pointless as well but I'd prefer The Chase, without a doubt.
I agree, the Chase builds up to an exciting end, Pointless just seems to fizzle out as you get closer to the end. Not a fan of the final round on Pointless.
I applied to go on the Chase and got to the interview stage in a hotel. If they like you there, which they did, they then ask you to fill in a final application form. They obviously didn't like my answers and didn't ask me to be on the show

Pointless doesn't engage with the audience too well cause you have to be an expert at neich subjects to ever feel like you knew the answer. For instance I saw a question on there before which was something like
"Name an actor from the movie Whatever Happened to Baby Jane" obviously I'm thinking Bette Davis or Crawford, but to actually win the game you've gotta name on of the extras or someone with a small cameo who's name you'd probably never remember. I just think the format sucks balls
The chaser however, Bradley Walsh just takes it to the stratosphere, he's so funny, his banter, you learn about thinks from the chasers responses, sometimes they actually play for big money, whereas I don't think I've ever saw a pointless game finish any higher than a bag a sand 😂

The Chase is much better and more exciting. Pointless is about being obscure and has been around for a lot longer so it has built its fanbase for longer.
Both shows started in 2009.

The Chase is miles better. There's no way of verifying the answers on Pointless....they could just make the numbers up.

TBF Pointless is on BBC, so yeah it's probably going to have more viewers simply by being the show that's on when you first turn on the tv.

I’ve seen both, and both are pretty naff.
Bradley Walsh comes off as a nice guy here and Richard Osman comes across as an arrogant jerk. But I guess it's part of their banter.
Nah, he wasn't arrogant. Their shows are on at the same time and are always up for the same award at the National Television Awards, and they have always made little friendly digs at each other. It's all banter for the entertainment of the viewers.
The Chase.
I prefer Pointless. Just love the chemistry between Alexander and Richard.
I like the format of Pointless but Alexander and Richard are so boring when they talk to each other, their chemistry doesn't compare to Bradley's with the chasers and the contestants.

Pointless gets boring after a while so the chase wins. In my opinion.

Pointless is a pointless show and not funny and the chase has Bradley Walsh and the chase is constantly trouncing pointless.
How can Pointless have better audience figures then the Chase...? It is so BORING and CRAP. All I see is man with glasses telling us what people said to a question...and you actually learn NOTHING. Chase is brilliant, loads of questions for quizzers, exciting chases, funny and intelligent chasers, amazing contestants and a funny host.
Likely because it's on BBC, ie. the first and default channel on most TV boxes, so chances are it'll be the show that's on when you turn on the telly at teatime. (or rather, when the roughly 5,000 homes they actually cover for those viewing stats do so.)
They're both boring and been on the telly far too long
