Many great memories of playing Katamari. There's nothing quite like it
Well I don't know about that King of All Cosmos voice, but this game is a blast to watch, especially with new people. This little game that shouldn't have been allowed to exist, was just a tech demo that became popular through sheer zazz and soul. The creator never wanted a sequel, never wanted it to be a series. He wanted it to stand alone as an art piece and to only create complete original things each game, nothing like the last. He was also crazy though.

Subaru, and now Calli too. Hope to see even more members playing. Back when I bought the original it was on sheer whim cause stuff didn't get all this internet coverage back then. One of the best impulse purchases I ever made. The goofy story, the addicting fun gameplay, and the eclectic soundtrack.
The guy who came up with this game first tried to sell it to Nintendo, but they turned him down, and Namco ended up doing it. After the original or maybe second though, the guy left video games and started designing playgrounds...lol
I had a similar experience! I had never heard of it before, but I got it because I was browsing an EB Games and saw it was discounted enough that I had enough allowance saved up to get it. It's one of my favorite games ever now!

You can speedrun this game because you're allowed to quit after winning & move on to the next level.
The kid driving a swan is easily the most diabolical enemy/hazard in this game. He's set on the perfect path to hit you unexpectedly, then hit you again as you reach the other side of the neighborhood, then hit you again when you try to back up & then chase you out of the neighborhood.
My favorite Katamari games are We Love Katamari & Katamari Forever. Beautiful Katamari is the only bad one I've played.

The stream made me realize that the game doesn't teach you how to climb slopes or change camera directions. In the PSP game, you climb a slope before collecting anything.

This was fun, brought back memories from something like a decade ago, hanging out with some friends that really enjoyed this game
I didn't even think she was gonna play this old relic from namco's past but she did and she was just as cute as always. Man the energy of her wanting to roll stuff up in a ball then having things be stuck in a ball all to try to win the approval of space dad was both the most adorable yet relatable thing ever. Aside from the fact that space dad was being a total jerk to Calli but with the power of being stubborn, she finally finished that one stage that was annoying her so yay. It was pretty funny to see her constantly becoming more and more evil with every single person and thing and object that she was rolling like Calli has gone power hungry lol. In spite of that, it was just super fun to see Calli have fun with this and really glad that this made her a fan. Can't wait to see more of you playing this game and overall a fantastic stream as usual Calli!
