You're a fucking animal Kristian and I really appreciate it! Been following you ever since your win at Tokyo and I've never seen a human push their limits so hard 🔥 inspired me to get a road bike for the first time and I'm doing a couch to 5k for the first time in my life too! Goodluck to everything you do ❤
this sort of training is something I have never seen before.... such precision.
Kristian: speed up
Lactate : sorry not my pace
OMG they are turning Iron man into a scientist event. Kristian is like Ivan Drago in Rocky IV
Thankyou for sharing Kristian , countdown to next weekends big race exciting times ! 🚀🚀
Been following you since you're win in Tokyo, absolute beast! Inspiration for thousands of people for sure 🙏💪
Foot strike same as hazard/blinkers. What a rhythm!
Kristian it's amazing to see you training so close to my house! I wish you the best of luck in Cozumel 👏🏻👏🏻💪🏻💪🏻
driving a car behind a runner - sustainability goals!
Great training session! Keep it up! 💪
Hi Kristian your videos are really great and inspiring for me (I have added the brick session with the uphill bike that is one of your favorite in my training...really a nice one indeed!). I wish I had the entire day to train like you but family and work (which are great things too take most). Will be wonderful one day to meet you in real (you never know in life). All the best! Giuseppe
Good weather, nice views, not much traffic....pretty good place to get some good training done
Lets go boys! awesome. I'm doing my first half Iron Man in Marbella this May and then I might sign up for Cozumel! Nice content
stratospheric, just from another planet
Great video!!
Aerobic beast :) Have fun tomorrow !
have a great race!
New world record?! 7:21!? Let’s go!
He will go sub7!
12:50 a light drake reference. gotta love it. Lets go Kristian!
Go for it champ!
I like a lot your videos
I hope you win Cozumel IM
Gustav en fuego right now. No pressure ;)
i wish you all the best for your further preparation. maybe you could help me out with the following.
which device do you use to measure your watts while running? do you run it via a footpod?
thanks in advance and best regards from Austria,
Chris
What are you guys using to measure power? stryd? If so, how are you guys finding it as a tool? Currently doing my dissertation research on run power)
Do/did you guys take anything from Gustav Iden's build and success at Florida? Not that you aren't being incredibly exhaustive and scientific, but that was a pretty damned good debut. Any ideas on comps for lactate or other metrics?
Good luck. Personally I think the ironman distance is more torture than sport. I also wonder if it messes with speed (change the muscle fibers).
Kristian, who is your coach? Olav, Arild or Mikal or Olav and Arild?
I'm curious about the psychological strategies you have for an 8 hour race. Especially when you will likely be alone for a long time. The science can only do so much. Your mind has to allow you to perform as well.
i guess his strategy was to make it more of a 7 hour race
@@Pizza_Rat lol
Do you guys plan on selling a training program specficially for running in the future?
He will run sub 2:30 at Cozumel
What is that device you're using to get lactate concentration - are you taking sweat samples for it?
1. Why are you doing them uphill? Is it for variation? Or to reduce the amount of impact force?
2. Do you think heart rate/lactate/power is better parameters than heart rate/lactate/pace (min/km)? Pace can be unaccurate because of GPS errors
And pace is unaccurate because you're climbing/wind
Awesome work! Where in Sierra Nevada are you training? The scenery looks nice!
It’s Sierra Nevada in Spain, not in the US if you mixed them. In Spain it’s just a very small town village with a ski resort
It is on the road to Pradollano
I am from Granada and those 28km he did (with intervals!) are even hard to manage for some cars!! keep up the good work Kristian. Happy to see that you love SN, you should move here - Monachil, Güejar Sierra, Cenes, etc. many great places to live. Cheers
One finger ring pull, Kristian still plugging Red Bull 😂😂😂
at 6:00 coach is putting in the new chip right?
Why isn't Gustav and that there with you??
Threshold with 1.5 mMol…I would like to see his graph. How is his Vla max I wonder?
Same, I wanna know where is his LT1 and LT2 in mmol
I open the red bull, I cut the video, I empty it out the window because it tastes disgusting and I pretend to drink it 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
No gloves for bloodwork?
guy is producing no lactate!
I remember a podcast I think with Arild when he said that his experience with elite athlete was their LT2 lactate levels were generally lower. I think he said Kristen’s were around 2.5 maybe? Still really low but a little context. I think Lionel had a lactate test with real low values as well
@@cphilipbrown what is LT2 please ?
Strarospheric, just from another planet! 🤗💪
In these longer distances , blood doping( like EPO ,transfusions etc) is a lot more important then what You have been using so far like steroids , hg hormone etc .😀
Wtf man
Holy, couldn't you perhaps bike behind him with a camera, instead of driving a car, adding unnecessary pollution and blocking one-lane roads? Wanted to watch the video for the sport stuff, had to stop because as a local it was literally giving me anxiety.
Holy, they are carrying a lot of gear in that car, and he also needs to drive Kristian down again.
