- Tom from TKDetailing spent 6 hours rejuvenating my 2008 BMW Z4 3.0 SI Sport Coupe's aged paint, wheels and windows that have been neglected for the last 10 years. Yes, the car has been washed at garages, but it hasn't seen anything this intensive in the last decade and potentially not since it was brand new. In this video, which is part 1 of the detail (but part 3 of it's improvements series), the car receives a full decontamination, snow foam, clay bar, light machine polish and protection.

I have a BMW Z4M Coupe in Alpine White/Red Imola leather
And I've just recently bought with Z4 30si sport stratus grey/orange tan leather
4:32 I did that area recently and I’ve found the water drain at the passenger side full of mud probably a cause for water leak inside the cabin. There is also the air inlet for the ventilation right above it. To reach them it’s not hard. You use a socket wrench to take the wipers out it takes 1 minute. Then you unscrew the pins that hold the large cover. These don’t work very well they are fragile and takes force to unscrew but I ordered new ones. Make sure you protect the cover as it’s $200 a new one. Then there are clips that hold the cover tight on the windshield. You pull the cover up and they should pop out. I’ve found a few missing and used a plastic glue hot gun to install new pins I bought. After removing the cover you can clean everything with the pressure washer. Cover the engine bay with the parasol or something to protect from water. After you clean everything you can use grease to lubricate the wiper system.
Those that keep it in a garage should not have this problem I suppose

Ha well, we were able to do this because it's technically business and the covid rules are gradually relaxing in the UK (finally). If I wasn't creating a piece of content then I wouldn't have been able to stay.

@@Galaxy89cars I didn't mean the whole staying there thing because of Covid. It is just Illegal to wash you car in places not having a speacial Oil and grime filter so the liquids go into the sewer and contaminating it. SO almost nobody washes their CArs privatly on their Driveways or infront of such Shops :P Gives a hefty Fine for doing so.

What blue is this, it's lovely. I have a Montenegro blue that I like, thinking of a respray and then maybe a wrap in a different colour if I like it. To protect the original colour!

Im not anti-mask,but why do you need a mask, if you're filming yourself?
I wasn't alone in the unit.
Actually the masks are good if you are working and there is dust or detergent aerosols. Sometimes even on the street if I pass an area and something smells (like near a construction site) I can put the mask on 😝

If you listened I said I bought the car in this condition with the aim of getting it detailed for this series. The fact I got it detailed and made 2 other videos documenting me taking care of it shows the complete contrary to your statement.
