- In this video my son Alec, my buddy Bill, and I participate in the inaugural 24 Hours of Appalachia - Run For The Hills event where we battle the clock, the elements, and the Grand Cherokee to complete 585 miles in 24 hours. Right around 70 teams participated in vehicles ranging from Toyota trucks and SUVs, to Ford Trucks, Subarus, and even a Kia. Jed and his team really put together a great event, I cant imagine how much time they spend laying out the course. Make sure to check out the link to the event Facebook page below for future events.

Great video and overview. My buddy and I are trying to get in the summer run. Noted the comment around the 7 minute mark about guys going "a little too fast"... What kind of speed constraints did the organizers put on the drivers?
Nothing specific... Just stated the fact that these are public roads.
Did anyone do the whole thing solo with no co driver? That would be insane. longest I ever drove was 15 1/2 hours
One guy did iron man it
