Installing a Prototype Sterling 10.5 Torq Locker for the One Ton YJ

I was lucky enough to receive a prototype Torq Locker for the Sterling 10.5. This is the only drop in locker available for this axle and they designed it to reuse some of the factory components to reduce cost. I don't have a cost at this time but keep an eye on their website for more info.

It is finally time to replace the Dana 44 and Ford 9" axles that I have been running under DaddyJeep. I have broken enough axle shafts and I am getting quite tired of it. The axles that I will be using are a Dana 60 and Sterling 10.5 out of an 03 F350 Diesel. In this video I will be prepping the Rear Sterling 10.5 axle and building a custom truss. Finding a good deal on gears happened after I finished up the axle so I will be covering the gear install in another video.

cool product. I see you remounted the Nitto 40s...should be plenty of locker for that. I was going to run the factory ford 10.5 e-locker in my build but if Torq Locker is going to price the 10.5 locker close to the 14 bolt they have.. I might just go this route.

The E locker was my original plan as well... Until this thing became available

Pretty sure the approximate price point will be a little above the 14B. But the most expensive TL is $460 so it definitely always gonna be cheaper than an e locker!
