I went to the tank museum in Germany in 2018 because I build mostly WWII tanks and trucks and there is like a full-size diorama of the WWI battlefield with a cut away A7V in the middle of it.

Nice p/u. I'm more of a WWII fan, probably because of comics like SGT Rock, War Is Hell, Sgt Fury and His Howling Commandos. The Unknown Soldier, etc that I used to get as a kid on the AF base in the early 70's. Watching episodes of Combat helped too.
Yes, several guys in my IPMS club have talked about those. They prefer WWII also.

I bet I know the Jimmy Flintstone body your talking about for the Hudson. 🤔 I've got my eye on the same one. (Fastback)? My younger brother had the Vandal when it came out back in the 70's. You got a bargain on the Ford Thunderbolt and Gasman. I just retired and got my fuel pump replaced. Now I can go to these places that you feature on your channel and I'm starting with that auntique place in Louisville. 😉 And I can hit these model swap meets. 🤗

Great haul as I'm watching this video, I'm with you on those 1-10 dollar kits, if you can get good wheels/tires the camper shell even etc....Well worth some good parts! That is very cool you have access to hobby shops, I have a Michaels here in town and one about 20 minutes out that has steadily dropped what they carry, I think both had no more than like 6 kits my last visit. Have a Hobby Lobby that has a better selection but it doesn't change very often, the selection etc. Nice pick ups though!
I totally agree, well worth it for the parts! Yea, Michaels dosen't have much and the one by me dosen't carry models now. Would be nice if Hobby Lobby would switch them out more often.

Awesome buys Tim. It's always fun going through boxes of kits. You never know what you're going to find. Anytime you see a kit you want hold onto it. I've found something myself at swap meets that was sitting for hours. Decided to go back figuring it was still there and low and behold it was gone. That Hudson was a great buy. Great pre Christmas haul! Love those old monogram kits. I built a couple of those black vandals and 1 of the red versions. I remember building every can I could get my hands on. I liked them because it was easy to blow them up on the 4th of July🤣🤣🤣 Mike at Mikes decals just got a batch of drag racing decals in. May be worth looking at. 👍👍

Nice haul of kits and supplies!!.. I must say where I am in Central New York State there are 3 decent hobby shops as well as several antique malls within about 75 miles where I have been able to locate kits and supplies as well as Hobby Lobbies,Ollies and Michaels ..
Unfortunately with Wally World only 1 store in the area that I know of has any kits in stock...

Too bad about the kits you lost when you set them down Tim, need to bring your wife to watch them for you. I recently acquired the Vandal as well and the opening side door and minibike is very kool.😊 Are the Takom and Meng Whippet same scale? One box is so much bigger.

I believe your best score is the Chevy II body. I am currently building a 1:1 67 Chevy 2 door sedan. I have been trying to locate the exact body you scored. If you have any interest in getting rid of it I would be interested in it.

I have a vague recollection of seeing a picture of Hubie Platt? picking his up in Michigan and then driving it down to Georgia where he was based. Sorry about the vagueness. In my perfect world my phone would be on my workbench, and I would be surrounded by all the reference material and kits upon which I base my statements on.

STS Decals Rick............... They do custom work and do a GREAT job! Other then them, I don't know of anyone that has fire/police department decals.
Now that I'm thinking about it, I had an STS Deacl shirt on during this video. If you want to know more about them and/or contact them, I made a video on STS Decals. It's back in my archives, but easy to find.
