Joe discusses the initial differences between the two manifolds, including a MAP Sensor, different designs, volumes, and more!

My understanding is that you can modify the engine, you just have to use the companies that Ford approved. Correct me if I'm wrong.🤔

Great video love the gen 4 think it's going to be a real beast just like the 123 gen coyotes

The current problem is that you can’t tune the s650.

That was the problem for the C8 corvette for about the 2 years and someone finally cracked the code. I just think it will be a matter of time.

    What about a cfm test?

So a swivel thermostat flange ,
And a custom 2018 to 2024 spacer plate to lift it about a inch 🤔 then I’d probably send it on a haltec ecu 👀

A possible custom Y adapter, 2 to 1, for the throttle body for the gen3 motors.

Porting a plastic intake isn’t really worth it. In my opinion. You don’t gain that much and you lose the smoothness of the factory plastic. How much these would make ?? I have no idea probably less than 20hp. Does anyone have any numbers on doing these? I may be completely wrong. But on the Chevy stuff it was pretty much a waste of time.

Smoothness, contrary to what you might think, isn't as good for airflow, hence why you don't see a whole lot of "ported and polished" versions anymore. The ported 18+ Mustang and something like the ported LS3 intake are both plastic and so good that the aftermarket has had trouble beating them.

You want smooth on the TB side and rough where fuel is introduced. We’ve tried dimpling. In heads and intakes. When done right it does have a certain effect that helps flow and atomization but the effort vs reward isn’t as high as just a nice port job with proper port shape and volume. But smoothing the intake where only air runs over it is ideal. We get the best flow numbers. But plastic intakes don’t really gain enough from what I’ve seen to really be worth the extra money or hassle. It’s one thing to clean us the flashing from the molding process. But the gains are generally minimal. But with the mustang stuff I really don’t know.

21+ f150s have gen 4 coyotes. Wonder how the 24 gt manifold would fit those...

Even if you could make it fit tuning would be the biggest issue as the PCM on the S650 is designed to manage both throttle bodies individually from one another. The F150 and S550 mustang PCM isn’t capable of that. Not saying it can’t be done but it would take a lot to make it work until someone comes out with a solution on how to manage the twin throttle bodies.

I thought the HP guys , have been playing with speed density for years? I tried reading a few posts but they were talking way above my understanding!
