if they didn't fight they wouldn't have been as good as they were and still are. it makes them work harder. Freddie kept it together he knew what he was doing. They loved each other that was why they were so great. Look how much it tore them all up when they lost Freddie to death. It would have been the same if it had been one of the others. They're keeping his songs and music alive because of the love they and respect they have for him. Color me happy when I hear Freddie's beautiful voice.
Charlynn Star Scribe Maybe he knew but he always kept it in a secret, why would he say "No, I'm not going to carry on with Queen in the future because I will by dead", it would dissapoint the fans and maybe cause some speculations because why would anyone say that? Moreover, the next question would be something like "Why do you think that? Why aren't you planning to carry on with Queen in the future?" and he would have to explain that so I guess it was best for him to just deny everyrhing. But who knows, maybe you're right :)
"I'll be doing it in a wheelchair dear, don't worry" - Freddie Mercury This hits harder then being struck by a bus! 🥺😭 Freddie, if you can hear me... Keep Rocking until I see you on the other side!
This song was the spirit of queen for a new age. It was the legendary mythic sounds and lyrics they channeled in their first two albums. I think this is some of their very best work ever.
I love that princes of the universe rehearsals so much apart from what the band said Freddie really loved his band to even declare he'd be doing it in a wheelchair!!!?

Well Freddie was right about one thing he did carry on to the last days of his life,he could have quite easily been using a wheelchair coz a read In the paper that he lost part of his foot plus lost most of his vision, such a shame that this happened to him,he was the best, still is the best, and always will be the best, pure champion
Tone Marie Antonsen He had a bad sore on his foot and calf that could'nt heel,"That is why people are saying that........Love Freddie forever.......................
Just FYI, Brian May addressed the foot interview on his Instagram account when that story broke...he said that wasn't what he actually said to the woman who interviewed him, but she twisted it and wrote that Freddie had part of his foot amputated. But he did indeed have a sore or open wound that wouldn't heal and walking was very painful for him when they filmed "These Are the Days Of Our Lives." I admire how determined he was to keep recording as much music as possible for us fans even while his life was slipping away.
Jay McD ~ I actually made a single-length re-edit of the 2 songs back in 1997! Basically, the first 1 minute & 28 seconds of "Princes Of The Universe" with a quick fade/cut into "Gimme The Prize" at 40 seconds in, then cut from 1 minute & 53 seconds of GTP to 3 minutes & 27 of GTP, then fade-out as Christopher Lambert says "There Can Be Only One!" & cut off before any explosion sound effects. Total run-time of about 3 & 1/2 minutes. Mixed over 21 years ago, using just a CD player and a dual-cassette player/recorder! FINALLY transferred onto CDR in 2001! And, at long last, soon-to-be uploaded to CZcams sometime in 2019! ;-)
ELCARLOS H 💁🏾♀️ They (the remaining members of Queen) have all gone on record to say Freddie WAS the driving force of the band which simply translate that he was their leader. Freddie always said he was just the lead singer 'cos of egos BUT they all would run their songs by him and if he'd approved, then they'd go on the LPs. He'd sometimes would collaborate on songs but refuse to take writing credits from the original person...despite giving them credit for writing Liar for doin' the same thing. And it was his idea to credit ever member of the band with writing credits from the Miracle LP on. He even gifted them his future royalties from those LPs on as well as sign over rights to some of his solo songs to be "Queenfied" in the future. Freddie truly loved those guys like the brothers he never had. So as far as many are concerned, Freddie WAS Queen. He was right in that he wasn't "The General" but he was the Queen of Queen✌🏾!
@@Motown-1966 If Freddie loved and respected them, then maybe you ought to do the same and quit trying to take credit away from them. You're acting like he did them a favor, which is ridiculous. It's ok to say Freddie didn't do EVERYTHING. How can you be a Queen fan if you think 3/4 of the band was so inferior? Answer, you can't.
TheaterPup...I never said or implied that the other 3/4th of the members were inferior. Reading is fundamental. Re-read my comment as you've obviously read it wrongly. Further, YOU can't dispute what each and every other member of Queen said 'bout Freddie being the driving force. YOU also can't dispute that FACT that they (the band members) would bring their songs to Freddie for HIS approval. This was said at least TWICE by Freddie himself and all the others have said so in a few interviews readily available right here on YT. Rog even called Freddie a Rutter for doin' so (in a playful way). The interviewer asked him specially 'bout his songs and Rog replied: "They kept changing the words to my songs." The interviewer asks: "Who?" And Rog responded with "That Rutter Freddie!" as it was HE who often made tweaks to other's songs to give them more commercial (or Pop) sound. Freddie did this to quite a few songs of Rog AND Deacy who were more accepting of HIS interference. Not so much with Bri's songs as Freddie said HE was a bit less receptive of HIS interference. But that doesn't mean that his songs got put into LPs w/o Freddie's approval. The real proof in the pudding is that Queen as a band only came out with "Only You, the Good Die Young" post Freddie but one could also argue that song could've very easily have been a Freddie written song for someone else who died too soon and it never sung by him as it never made the cut on any privous LPs. They've said in several interviews that there were LOADS of songs written that never seen the light of day before Freddie died. It just seems pretty obvious that Freddie indeed was the driving force (as they've ALL said pre AND post Freddie's demise). No new material was recorded aside from the aforementioned in nearly 30 yrs...just them Maylor releasing, revisiting, and Queenfying Freddie's solo songs. 😩 Now if you take facts and say I'm bashing the group then that's YOUR interpretation of what's the truth. There's NO judgement in my comment sorry.
Poor Freddie never got the chance to perform in a wheel chair but he was a candle that burned bright bless him an all time great and the most powerful voice in any rock group ever
Pobre Freddie...ya estaba enfermo para ese tiempo...y al decir de su amigo Braian May...no tomaba los medicamentos...For Ever Glory for The Great FM !!!
Freddie's physical energy simply astounding! That together with his unmatched vocal power amazing!
I could listen to Freddie talk all day long.
Queen would have still been on the charts at the top today there music was just so good
Freddie was the most handsome man ever, miss him so much every single day❤️
Freddie's little laugh at the 'breaking up' question was priceless.
@shaitarn1869 He always said that there are rumors that the Queen gonna break up, I answer: this will not happen! Well done boys! Keep their word 👏
Hearing Freddies voice sent shivers down my spine

"I shall be doing it in a wheelchair, dear. Don't you worry". Wow... I got a bit of a melancholy shiver down my back at that.
scrolled down to write the same thing. Really makes you think what could have been.
Another thing that shows he had no idea he was already infected. Some speculate he already knew before 1987, but I disagree with them

He was not diagnosed until early 1987...the group were told by him in early 1988.
He must have felt the flu-like symptoms of HIV long before it developed into AIDS.
his laugh when he was asked the question " why aren't you breaking up " was so precious :)
I honestly love them all. They have an edge to them that cannot be replicated, ever. They will stay in peoples hearts forever 🇬🇧🙏

Travel back in time to the interview just to confuse freddie for no reason:
"Hi extra question, are you a prince of a prince?"
"Wha??"
He did, only it was in the studio.

That’s a nice comment. Glad you are living a full life.

Is it just me or does Freddie look different in this interview?
It could be his make up
