I loved the music and the dancing . It brought back so many happy memories.
Well, to be fair SEVEN continents. I ran a "fledgling" group at the South Pole base 2005-2006!
😊😊😊⛸️🥌☃️☃️☃️……..Sorry , but I was looking for Penguin imoji’s. Great post.
Superb video!
Love it!
Thanks for the memories. I used to dance with the RSCDS as part of the Chicago Branch. There were three subgroups of this branch, one in the north suburbs, one in the west suburbs, and one in the south suburbs. I danced with the southern group at the Homewood / Flossmoor Park District. I still have fond memories of my days of dancing.
Приятные, милые люди. Танцуют хорошо. Танец веселый.
man it looks soooooo fun
Nice one. Apart from the thrill of glimpsing familiar faces, just the job for giving friends and beloved(s) an idea of what SCD comprises.
Beautiful
oh my god. that was the most fantastic dance i ever had seen
I learned this at school, it’s great fun, very energetic as you can get faster and faster dances. As an adult, it’s mostly only done at weddings and is quite hilarious when everyone is tipsy!
What is " tipsy"?
@@user-oj6ix6qc7q. 5 sheets to the wind !! Too much alcohol 🤫

Could you tell me the name of the song they dance?
Come on RSCDS why not give us the name of the dance?
I’m a spectator , but I think the video is to promote Scottish Dancing, and uses multiple videos , of different dances. It’s exhilarating to watch and the music is fantastic. I hope that helps you.
If you don't know how to dance scottish, who even are you?
we are sad people. but I'm trying to teach myself. unfortunately I have no help or friends tho
@@tsu1951 I'm so sorry but is your name tsu or is that a bnha reference because either way i love it
@@tsu1951 Are there no Scottish dance groups near you? There are lots of groups all over the world. Where are you based?
@@suewilldig1087 I don't want to say where I live exactly but I do live in the United States. but I can't even afford a car so if we did have a dance group I wouldn't be able to attend anyway
@@garfielddddddd get this question all the time! no it's not my name and no it's not a reference. I haven't even watched it yet but it is in my watch list I just never get around to it. I keep watching the same things 😅. but I did make my Netflix profile picture a frog for the reference! Tsuya seems cool ☺️
A great and fun way to spend your extra money and time, if you want to... The RSCDS is much like the RSPBA, in the sense that it is a for-profit business, first and foremost.
You don't have to be Scottish to participate in it, but you do have to "pay to play (and lose)"... don't even think about winning a serious competition if your group is not from Scotland or Canada or Pakistan... that's just the way it is, and that's the way it should be.
This is such a strange comment. The RSCDS is an official charity, not a for-profit business. Its aim is to preserve and promote this form of traditional dance. Yes, SCD groups charge admission for dances, classes, workshops and other events. That money goes to paying for musicians, teachers, audio equipment, recorded music, venue rental, and sometimes food. Venue rental is usually far and away the biggest expense. RSCDS headquarters produces a magazine, collects and publishes dances, coordinates the global SCD community, evaluates and certifies teachers, conducts events, and generally promotes SCD.
Scottish Country Dance is not a competitive dance form in any way. It is a social dance. We have balls, casual dances, and demonstrations, not competitions.
