    Hi..one more question..what is the width or diameter of the jar from inside? I saw it was 4.30" but is that from outside or inside?

    Very good review! I am looking for a more wider mouth thermal insulated food jar or box for my 11 year old kid. This one is the widest mouth one I saw than the thermos brand ones which are a bit narrower but still not to my liking :( Do you know any insulated food boxes which could keep food warm and is more a rectangular or square box than taller ones? Thanks

    • @ReviewsOnAnything
      @ReviewsOnAnything  Před 2 lety +1

      i havent seen any square ones, just round like these. The bigone is more than big enough for an 11 year old, the medium one is probably fine already. The opening is prettymuch the entire with of the jar, so its as big as you can go with these.
      There are some camping style thermos bottles/boxes that are even bigger than these, but they become inpractical

    Is the inner rubber seal removable? For cleaning purposes? Thanks.

    • @ReviewsOnAnything
      @ReviewsOnAnything  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes, it is, but its not easy. Unless you got soup inthere, the seal doesnt really get dirty. BUT good to clean it every once in a while of course

    Only the previous version is for sale in Mexico.
    Can you say it's worth looking to buy the new version or can I be happy with the old one? (the one you show at the beginning of the video)

    How long does it stay warm for? Off topic but I bought a Frank Green food container and it only stays hot for 1-2 hours and it's always almost cold by lunchtime.

    • @ReviewsOnAnything
      @ReviewsOnAnything  Před 2 lety

      depends on a lot of things, of course, but mainly on how hot the food is when you put it in and how full you make the container.
      Generally i pre-heat mine with some boiling water before putting the food in and then straight out of the pan into the container. Generally i get about 4 hours easily

      but your local campings or outdoor store has similar offerings for sure

    does it get vacuumed sealed with the heat cuz I bought one and it was impossible to open although it wasn't by hydro flask

    • @ReviewsOnAnything
      @ReviewsOnAnything  Před 2 lety

      there is no pressure-valve on the top like some other brands have, so yes if you put piping hot soup in and screw the lid on very tight then it can be harder to open it after a while. But in general i havent had this issue so far

  • @CanadienWoodsman
    @CanadienWoodsman Před 2 lety +1

    Is the outside shell getting hot on yours? The outside of mine gets hot to touch. It does not happens with my bottle and I am wondering if it is normal.

    • @ReviewsOnAnything
      @ReviewsOnAnything  Před 2 lety +2

      mine gets slightly warm, but only slightly. When it gets hot there is a problem, cause this is the heat from inside escaping, which is the whole thing the thermos is trying to avoid of course. Contact hydroflask, cause this is a broken unit

    Sorry if this question sounds stupid but, for a normal adult (female) which size would be best? Is the 12 OZ enough?

    • @ReviewsOnAnything
      @ReviewsOnAnything  Před 3 lety +1

      haha no worries. 12oz is fine, but its not that much.So if you are referring to your daily intake, you are gonna need to empty the bottle several times. But its a nice bottle for in the car or in your backpack for on the go

      You can use 2 smaller sized ones instead of one bigger size. That way you can e eat partial food or two different meals for lunch

    I assume the smaller ones keeps the temperature better?

    • @ReviewsOnAnything
      @ReviewsOnAnything  Před 2 lety

      they all do an equal job, It really depends on how much food you put in, how hot it is when you put it in, if you pre-heat the thermos, the ambient temp etc

  • @livingthedash6727
    @livingthedash6727 Před 3 lety

    Can you fit the smaller one inside a Hydro Flask lunch box?

  • @ddd7613
    @ddd7613 Před 3 lety

    How about the hours the food stays warm?

    • @ReviewsOnAnything
      @ReviewsOnAnything  Před 3 lety +3

      too many factors go into that for a concrete answer.
      I put some boiling water in the container and put the lid on it, prior to putting the food in. That way the inside is already hot. I put the food in straight out of the pan and of course try to have it piping hot.
      As long as you leave the lid ON and depending on the ambient temperature, your food should stay hot for 4 hours easily, once you start opening or taking bites, then thats reduced drastically.
      After 6 hours your food is prob gonna be warm-ish, certainly not cold, but certainly not hot anymore either

  • @jacksgl777

    I bought one but it does not keep the food hot so I returned it. I wanted something that kept my food good and hot at least 3-4 hrs.
