- My customer complained that the soakaway that had been fitted to the back of her building was continuously flooded and had started to smell.
Due to the hairdressing salon basin using lots of shampoo I advised against using a soakaway and to fit a macerator instead.
It was a bit of a mission getting over the brickwork barbecue and getting to a drain but I managed to access a small inspection chamber to discharge into.
(customer has been advised to get an electrician to check the sockets as I noticed some discolouration on the socket)
Tony, what a wonderful, great job & thank you for explaining how it works & installation do’s and don’ts.
Thank you very much
Who wouldn’t like you? You’re a dedicated and hard working entrepreneur! Love watching you do your job! You do the same work with the same enthusiasm whether you’re at a poor broken down neighborhood or Windsor Castle! Great drain team leader!
I appreciate that! Cheers Mark
Nice work Tony. It's always nice to learn new trix from a pro. 👌

No more smelly soak away, she should be pleased with that. Another happy customer. 👍🏼
Yes mate, customer happy job done
Good job! I always enjoyed piping, hard pipe especially. It always relaxed me. Measure, cut, thread. Like putting a puzzle together. Great video.
Thank you very much

Almost 1k subs, keep em coming :)
All in flow again :)

Nice tidy install
👍👍👍
nice vid tony, exactly what i am looking for, do you think it feasible to attach the drain to a washing machine standpipe
A macerator needs to be solvent weld pipework, I would never connect sewage to a washing machine pipe mate.
@@drain-unblockerthanks for your prompt reply, could i not just use solvent weld pipework up to the standpipe its just shower waste and would save me taking another pipe out side to the same drain.

Hi, I'm installing a macerator at my house, will a 22mm pipe be OK for the full 20m length?
Make sure its solvent weld mate I think your manufacturer will tell u min size
@drain-unblocker nice on thanks for the info, I'll read the instructions 😅
@@hawkins7331 lol I feel your pain
Fitted several of them which was fun. Sorting them wasn't!!
Yes they are not very nice to unblock if used for the toilet mate
