me too - I am still based in Austria. I got my first Joe Walsh album " The smoker you drink... " as a present in 1974 at the age of 14. From a Canadian guy in my elder in Austria. Sure on vinyl. But this one is complete "downneedeld". BUT: a couple of years ago I bought in the bay another issue of the record. (I own the very most albums with Joe, except Eagles. That's too mainstream for me.) BTW: Great vids with Joe are on Daryl Hall's yt page.

Joe Walsh always has the absolute perfect touch. My man just plays so right, nobody ever accused him of being the technical shredding guitar genius and I would so rather be a Joe Walsh feel the moment player than a try to squeeze in so many notes in a run kind of player.

Mr. Walsh is a true master of the guitar. Always known as a rock dude (IOW, bash the hell out of the strings), he also he has tremendously nuanced and delicate phrasing, intonation, attack, delay, etc., etc. Never fails to impress when you really listen. Nice Pete Townsend impression at the end, Joe! Always with the humour!
Joe Walsh sat in with Steven Colbert - Late Night's Band, for a week. I watched each show. Joe is more talented than I had even thought.
Something else that never gets mentioned enough is the way he sets up his tone. He's always using different equipment, but he always knows how to get a beautiful sound out of it. I'm also given to understand he did this for others - he gifted Pete Townshend a guitar, pedal, and amp set which became Pete's recording rig for all of the big Who albums of the 70s, and even Pete himself said if he took out any part of the setup Joe had given him, the magic of the sound was gone.

Those Bach women must be something as both he and Ringo have been happily married to them for years (Ringo since 1981).
