    I have a c7 corvette and I felt I had gotten air in the system by making a mistake while doing a flush by ranger method. I had been driving it like that for a year bc I don’t like other people working on my car. Sometimes I would need to pump it once for 1st and reverse, every once in a while I’d miss a gear. Tried this and it worked amazing!!! Thank you

    Great tip. I’ll get me one of them plugs and give it a go for shits and giggles. I haven’t really had any trouble with my clutch ever since I replace my master cyl. But surely this can’t hurt anything to try. Thanks for another great video.

    Oooh! These wheels are nice!!!! I like the polished lip. I am looking at a set of those wheels for my C5. You should buy a whole set of the black. That would look awesome against the yellow. Either way you do it congratulations on the new wheels

    So you simply just suck on it to remove any potential air in the system no touching the bleeder nothing ? When I shift from 1st to 2nd it kinda clunks as well it's difficult to get into 1st and reverse..

    BRILLIANT IDEA. I just got a C6 with blinding glare off the dash, up into the windshield and back into my eyes. With overhead sun, fifty percent of what I saw was my very bright dash instead of the road on mountain curves with traffic. What do you do to kill the dash cover glare?

    • @Motorsportsgeek
      @Motorsportsgeek Před rokem

      I removed the glass roof and kept applying a matte finish interior cleaner which helped a little. Tinting the windshield a bit would probably help too.

    Does this work on c5 without a speed bleeder

    • @VetOnVettes
      @VetOnVettes  Před 2 lety

      I don't see why not. I am curious myself for someone to try it without one. Wouldn't hurt anything to try it.

  • @MathewsOfir

    So all you did is applied negative pressure to the system without letting fluid in from the other side (bleeder) ?

  • @seanthao
    @seanthao Před 2 lety +1

    Could this replace having a speed bleeder? Or would you still get a speed bleeder if you don’t have one.

    Won't the ecu get upset if the wheels are not different diameters?

    • @jeffboyd8232
      @jeffboyd8232 Před rokem +1

      Since noone has answered this yet. The simple solution would be editing the tire size so that the overall diameter of the wheel and tire assembly is the same. Results in a larger wheel, and a shorter sidewall.

    I have an MGW and it’s ok… but the fore & aft shifting is almost notchy but just stiff. Even after a fluid swap. Still almost hard to shift. I’ll have to try this.

    • @lag1791
      @lag1791 Před 2 lety +1

      I have MGW flat also. I'm going to try this and try the Venom mod also.

    • @35057
      @35057 Před 2 lety

      @@lag1791 I didn’t notice much w the venom mod. That loosens shifting going left and right. I think notchy shifting fore & aft is the syncros, clutch and overall condition of the trans. Which is ironic for me because t56 typically loosen way up over time. I had a built one in my last LS car and it was amazing. Mines just tight 😒. I thought it might be the lower shift box but that moves freely.

      I have an MGW in my 02 Z. It's stiff as well with no air in the fluid. I wish it was a little easier on the elbow but it's a very well-built shifter.
