  • You might have seen these amazing Stone Columns on Instagram or TikTok. They are incredible. I have been to them several times over the years, and on my last trip a few weeks ago, I decided to do a Travel Guide video about them. They are located in the Eastern Sierra in California at Lake Crowley.

This reminded me of Cathedral Gorge st. Park in Nevada.

Thanks for the question. I would say that a CRV would not be able to make it. I wouldn't try it. But you can walk it.

How was driving up the hill?

In my 4x4 4Runner with off road tires, it was a breeze. But I saw others trying to drive up in in 4x4 pickups and they couldn't make it, they kept slipping. It could have been the drivers, as not everyone who has a 4x4 knows how to drive a 4x4. What kind of vehicle do you have?

@@Minhowaa Clearance isn't the biggest concern, it would depend just how good you are at driving it off road and can you pick the lines to get it up that hill. You could drive out there and see the hill. If you aren't confident then you could just park it there and walk along the road to get to it. That's what most people did. Only 2 others had 4x4's capable of going up that hill when I was last there. But there was a dozen cars parked by the hill where they then walked. Be sure to take a lot of water with you if you do hike it.
