  • This video shows how I added a ground block to the electrical system for the vintage air installation in my 1971 C3 Corvette. I also added battery power via a fuse block, which allowed me to get rid of several feet of wiring and make the entire install Cleaner and more efficient.

Are the new controls smaller than the old vintage air kit that modifies the original wheel controls? If not, you might want to check those fuses are not in the way.

Yes, they are smaller by quite a bit. I talked about that and a prior video.

Why doesn’t the ground need to be larger?
To complete circuit the electricity needs to run back along the wire.
    Just asking for a friend.

The ground that I’m running back from the terminal block is at least the same size or larger than the ground wires for the vintage air unit, so it should be plenty big enough.

To your point, if I run more high amp sources from that hot terminal block side, I should probably increase the size of the ground wire.

Now you have me thinking. Would it work to run another 10 gauge ground wire back to the battery, or would I need a single larger wire?
