For those who don't apply tape equally or don't want crow's feets for using tape, here is my trick: I use a card, a cardboard or anything stiff and flat + compact powder. Before I apply the eyeliner, I use the cardboard with the edge filled with the powder and I trace the line with it. If I fail, I just have to gently brush it away with my brush and I start again until I have the perfect symmetry. Then I do my eyeliner and finally I gently brush again any powder I had left on my face before. I use colorless powder so I'm confident about the results not ruining my makeup, but I think any powder will do. And that's all! I hope this helps anyone :)

Try doing it with your eyes open, once applying the line connect the line to the top of eye.

It just takes some practice to get straight lines. Practice will get you from 15 to 2 minutes in doing eyeliner :D
