I just replaced the battery in a Kindle keyboard today. I easily found the battery using Google: $20 including a nifty tool kit (batterykings.com/amazon-kindle-keyboard-tablet-battery-bb-209177/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw6rXeBRD3ARIsAD9ni9D-L0ke4kZkvFFjZErMqMnGzmiGnR2RkHumorCuG22tVEil22WZolQaApPMEALw_wcB)
Just open the case , undo 2 screws and the old one lifts right out. Charged it for initial 8 hours, now working nicely.

Thanks so much for making this video. I have owned my kindle since 2011 but unfortunately severely damaged my screen yesterday. I wanted to transfer all my data to my pc but couldnt unlock my device. My password has numbers in it and I had forgotten the layout of the 'Sym' menu. I paused your video at 11:22 and used this to locate the numbers I needed. I have spent 4 hours looking for this and you have saved me a lot of time. Thank you very much.

This device honestly feels like it has years of life left in it. We need to normalize using "obsolete" Devices. There's so much tech waste. It's nice to not have all the stupid bells and whistles. I wish there were more phone options to not have all that extra crap lol For context Im mid 30's lol

@DetroitBORG Unfortunatley not yet, and I just checked my orders page and it still is yet to be dispatched, I think they're out of stock.
"Due to strong customer demand, Kindle is temporarily sold out. Orders are prioritised on a first-come, first-served basis. Orders placed today are expected to dispatch in 2 to 3 weeks."
That was from the Kindle page.

Actually you dont have to press the symbol buttons to add number.
There are shortcuts for the numbers from ALT+ Q to ALT + P (the top letters line on the Kindle keyboard) for numbers from 1 to 9. And there are a lot of other keyboard shortcuts. Some of you might come across ghosting effect (the marks of the site you were browsing before) - Alt+G will refresh the site and remve this sometimes annoying effect. Alt+B -adding bookmarks. Alt+Shift+M - minesweeper and so on and so on.

If you move the kindle a few degrees then there is absolutely NO glare in sunlight, i tried it, and sunlight makes reading easier because there's more light. On the ipad, there is glare any way you turn it. i don't know what your hahaahing about, in sunlight the ipad will wash out and blind you do to the reflection, even on accident. The kindle wins on the glare challenge.

    Great Review!
I know this is mainly a review of the Kindle, and less of a comparison, but out of the Kindle and Nook, which would you choose? Overall.
    Thanks!

Bah to the Nook and Kindle, the iPad is king in the eReader market in my opinion. I mean why not have a device that does almost everything than a device that primarily just does books?
    Anyway, great un-boxing dude! 

for a super long lasting web browser, kindle 3 3G is the king. and I would pay $200 for a quick and neat little anytime browser.
