"Marry the Man Today," Kennedy Center, D.C. 10/22. For those unfamiliar with "Guys and Dolls," two lines that get laughs here (and always do) may need explaining. Although Miss Adelaide and Nathan Detroit remain unwed after a fourteen-year engagement, Adelaide has been writing home to mother telling her they are married and happy, with an ever-growing family and crap-shooting Nathan holding down a steady job. "Mission Doll " Sister Sarah breaks down because the quote from "Isaiah" reminds her of the first time she met the man she's now in love with, Sky Masterson, when they had a disagreement about a Biblical reference.

Jesus - Jessie is quite the layered actress. Phillipa too, but dang Jessie brings something I didn't know she had.

JESUS CHRIST is there anything Jessie can't do?? I know she did this role some years ago, but it always confused me. Well...no longer. On first glance, I'd want to cast her as Sarah instead but my god, her Adelaide is authentically funny, nothing is put on, it' just...impeccable!
