Interesting take on the Speed Triple. I owned a 2012, and it was No Fun to commute on. I used to be shaking by the time I got to work, a nervous wreck. It felt like a see-saw, light to light. I bought a Tiger 660 (and had a T120 in between), and the Tiger is a way better solution than either of the other two. It's a joy to ride, I think I'll ride to work today! Yay!
Ride safe!
The quick-shifter is good. Agree a cruise control would be good. A good lighter ‘bike for moving around. The top-box is practical. Agree the wind noise is a bit of a drag, but the general protection is good. Cheers 🇬🇧
In the windshield is adjustable
Do you get false neutrals when shifting from 1st to 2nd? I feel like you either have a neutral that is difficult to find or get neutral by mistake when going 1 to 2 or 2 to 1.
False neutral would be a neutral between other gears. My old Virago 535 had a false neutral between 4th and 5th. Would have to give it another kick up to get it into 5th. Hitting neutral between 1st and 2nd isnt a false neutral, its just you not being firm enough on the shifter
Hey man, I think the screen on the Tiger 660 is adjustable by hand
You’re right! Wasn’t obvious to me when I was looking at the bolts for it. Ill see if I can add a note there.
A grate revenue thank you
Thank you so much!
Nice video and thank you!! Do you think it is beginner friendly as a first bike!? I am 52 years old (1,82cm high and 100kg weight) looking for my first bike for commuting (town,work..) and some touring. Love the engine triple cylinder can offer a very smooth riding...regards from far away Serbia 🇷🇸
Greetings! Absolutely I think you’d love this as a first! It doesn’t have too much power to get you in trouble yet still has enough that you shouldn’t get bored with it too quickly. I think you’ll eventually graduate into the 900 but if I were just starting out I’d definitely pick one of these! Good luck and enjoy!
25mi commute, price aside..this, or a street triple? Ginger or Mary Ann?
WHUT?! Chooch posted!?
Dude you make any bike look small 😅
I know 😭
I like Triumph motor bikes but I have overtaken this one a few times and it seems quite small like a 125 .
Sorry to say this and no offence intended.
However ,when a big guy ,say like yourself rides such a bike, it just looks like someone riding a donkey .
I have written that many times on various videos to a nasty reaction.
However being the reasonable guy you are you can laugh at that image .
Great video as always take care .
Oh it absolutely looks TINY under me compared to the full size ADV Tigers. By chance are you talking about one of these that are governed weaker for new rider or license classes? I ask because that 660 didn't feel anywhere near as weak as a 125, not by any stretch of the imagination. It was quite peppy!
@@MotoChooch hey ,were not talking size here .
As a Italian guy you should know its all down to performance .
However back to the Triumph it looks like a 125 sport bike when you overtake one ,well to me anyway .
