Hats of to you for this mammoth demo. I was pondering throwing my money at a double offer of 35% off with the added latest collaboration of sound with this company and NI. You have helped me decide and I am now a little poorer financially , but emotionally richer musically , thank you 😊
Once again a fantastic demonstration of the instrument with each preset tastefully played and presented Companies like Spitfire should sponsor you to promote their products thanks for this
This is one instrument which makes it hard to wait for October 1st when I finally get my K13 Ultimate unlocked. Such a versatile and incredible sounding orchestral tool!
Thanks, Greg that was fantastic. I was on the fence with this software because no one did a good demonstration of it. I didn't realize how many great sounds it had in it. Wow, that like so great sounding and keeping in mind these are just the preset. I will be getting this ASAP and again great job and thanks.
In trying to sort myself out this Black Friday with a limited budget, this was a super-useful video for me. I really loved listening to the sounds and I can definitely see a place for them in the music I write. Thank you so much for putting this video together!
Very good video. It is so great to hear all the presets! Thank you. Yes i will buy this today 😊I haven't heard such amazing inspiring sounds in any other instrument.
I love the way you made this-- in-depth but straight to the point, and your playing is insanely beautiful. Thank you for your time and effort. Subscribed!
This is a milestone library ..an oasis in the avalanche of underscore wanna bee’s .of those I have auditioned , which available at this of time writing . 🦄🙏🏿👍🎩✨🎵🦄
Greg Allison Yes please do make that video. I’m brand new to making music and your videos among others help to inspire me. My Arkhis sounds very different to how you play it. So I would love to see a closer look at what keys/chords you played in this piece. Thanks buddy
This is just inspired me stack three instruments together in logic have three different kinds of inversion using scaler on the instruments and then play them together
the summer cannot come fast enough, when the stars will align and horns will sound, and from the heavens a 50% off sale at NI for Komplete 13 Collectors Edition will arrive!
I’d love to know who conceived the musical content of this library….as for ques and scores as a stand-alone it’s genius ..as for underscores it’s a catapult for inspiration 🙏👍 evidence harmonics patch 😉
The sounds are super unique and beautiful! Is this really only a specialized sound library, or could it also just be used for a traditional orchestral sample library?
I’ve had a few people ask. I personally like it for underscoring or long held out notes. Although, with layering the sustained sounds, you could very easily play it and compose as a traditional orchestral library.
I'm very torn about this one, because I love how some of these presets sound, but I wonder if I should just learn to create these effects myself starting from the raw libraries. For now I'll use this video as an inspiration and if I like a texture I'll try to replicate it. If it turns out to be too hard, I'll just buy the damn thing. 😂
Thanks for putting this together, very helpful. Is there a list somewhere of the instruments and their articulations (not the presets)? Oddly, Native Instruments doesn't put this in their description.
I don’t believe there is a list of the instruments/articulations. I think NI intended on the instrument to be played more for textures and sound design, instead of being played as an orchestral suite like Session Strings or Session Horns, etc.
So I know you use the mod wheel to go through the 3 layers, but how would you (if there’s a way) change the velocity while recording with the controller? Or would you have to change that post recording?
I usually just played along as I blended in the multiple layers. I like playing with patches that expressively follow how I play, so I just play the keys a little harder as the patch evolves.
what is the inverted semi-circle (beneath the transition animation) - is this an expression fader? If so, were you playing all patches at a single, constant level of expression?
Are these single loops/ samples Or can you play these like notes like a traditional synth. Im confused by the various videos, how much you can actually edit.
Hello! Some of these I play as 1 sustained note/Sample, but the majority I played as I would a traditional synth. I prefer to play chord progressions, so I leaned toward playing it with chord movement instead of just hitting one note and sustaining it.
Overall, I feel like the Arkhis samples and the way the instrument layers them with a range from subtle to drastic movement is fresh and inspiring. Let me know if you end up getting it!
I came here for the presets and stayed for the free soundtrack being performed.
exactly - I have listened to almost the entire thing - very satisfying and doesn't interfere with reading or writing
I love reading comments like these. I’m glad you enjoyed it!

I like every single one these. I didn't throw a single preset out the window. Just damn beautiful even in 2022!
Never have I ever meant a "thank you for your time" more honestly - THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME, this is just brilliant; could listen to this forever!

Jay Mac, I’m glad this video could help! It’s such an inspiring and musical soundscape instrument.

Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed the content!
Man, thanks so much for putting this together! I listened through the whole thing and wrote down my faves for later use. Made a huge difference!
Also, how inspiring is this? Wrote 4 new songs first thing after getting the plugin!
orchestral tools and NI are really showing the beauty of composing in just one vst
Totally. I’m so excited to see what else comes next.
This is exactly what I need! Thank you for the awesome video.
Thanks for putting the work in on show casing this instrument ...it’s the best underscoring resource I have ever heard. 🙏🙏🏿👍
2:35:45 this patch is amazing!

I have just purchased this. It’s awesome. Thanks for the video 👍🏻 I need to learn how to play it like you do.
Enjoy it my friend! I appreciate the kind words. I might have to make a video on chord voicings and progressions.

My soul needs this. I can then pretend to be as talented as Michael Nyman and Max Richter - great demo of this lovely instrument
Wonderful!

Summer has arrived. Got my CE yesterday!!
The Sound at 1:20:19 (Sad Sparkles) is very similar to "Unity Says Goodbye" from Rick & Morty
Thank you for this great video 👌🏼 Cheers.
This is so helpful, thank you very much for your time and afford.
I wish all VI would do this! Thanks!
Lovely video
One of the Best vsti (l have more than 50 with kontakt ...). Each sound is a universe.
Another great library, I use this a ton in my music. I got it when it first came out.
Thank you for sharing 👏
Thanks for this excellent and useful video.
Great!!! Thanks
thanks so much for doing this - well done!
Very helpful review! Thank you!
You're welcome Biow!
Great job man! Love your dedication.
Thanks Abraham!
thank you, enlightening.
This program preset alone is great
Thank you so much for putting this together. Super helpful, although I don't think my wallet would thank you
Finally a demoer who can play.
I’d love to know who conceived the musical content of this library….as for ques and scores as a stand-alone it’s genius ..as for underscores it’s a catapult for inspiration 🙏👍 evidence harmonics patch 😉
I have Time Macro & Micro and all the Arks & Inspires. Do I need this? So many great presets!

@@GregAllison, really looking forward to those! Looking at more of the Spitfire Audio libraries. :D

This comment is going to hurt, but it's going to make you better: Learn more chord progressions. Thanks for showing us the presets.
Them chords tho... Where have you been man?
So I know you use the mod wheel to go through the 3 layers, but how would you (if there’s a way) change the velocity while recording with the controller? Or would you have to change that post recording?
I usually just played along as I blended in the multiple layers. I like playing with patches that expressively follow how I play, so I just play the keys a little harder as the patch evolves.
@@GregAllison oh ok gotcha. Thanks man!
what is the inverted semi-circle (beneath the transition animation) - is this an expression fader? If so, were you playing all patches at a single, constant level of expression?
I may be wrong in this, but I believe it is the LFO amount which is tied to the oscillation that sweeps between the different sounds.
@@GregAllison that’s the top semi circle, that moves with the mod wheel. The other one, inverted relative to this, seems like it’s expression?
@@RLeaguer_Saint I just watched the NI Walkthrough - I think the bottom wheel is related to the FX mix.

🗣👌🕊🙏🌈🌷🌀💪
I was thinking about buying this while its on sale rn, do you think its worth it? It seems really cool for ambience
Totally!
Ambience is actually a huge part of why I got it back a couple of months ago. It’s a fun instrument.
Are you using a sustain pedal?
Yes! I play it as I would a traditional synth/keyboard.
