Regarding the QR plate, I use the 200 as well and I had it set up like that but all you have to go is get a SmallRig Extended Quick Release Plate and then you can mount the 200 right on it.
Hey there! i just bought the Weebill 2 and im having a hard time charging it within 1.5 hours. i bought a anker IQ 24w charger but it is still not as fast as you said it would charge. I was looking for. PD charger online but couldnt find one for usb to type c. what charging block are you using?
I'm just trying to be helpful, sincerely. Regarding the base plate: The base plate being >1mm too big sounds like a quality control issue from the factory. Try sanding the edges with 220 grit sandpaper just a little bit. The end result should be a slightly rougher surface where you've sanded (which means better traction, and so not so much tightening) and the lightly modified base plate should now slide into place. Cheers!
to the test with 70mm, both look to shaky that I suppose they where both not perfectly balanced. juts shoot with the smaller weebil s yesterday a couple of shoots at 70mm and they where perfectly smooth without ibis.
I really hope they've also worked on reliability with the RS2. The TV I work at has a few Ronin S-es and each one is failing after 1-2 years, either mechanically or in software.
Unrelated, but I'm looking for an alternative to DJI. I "used" to use the mavic air drone but the app that controls the drone doesn't work anymore. Hell, the app that controls my phone gimbal doesn't work either. DJI is definitely sketchy when it comes to longevity of software.
The top part of the DJI plate is Arca swiss. I can easily move my cameras from the RS2 to my peak design tripod without switching plates. So I think your workaround is a bit over elaborate .
@@TheShockwave44 No matter how expensive the equipment, I always see operators do 'the walk'. So I don't think a 1k gimbal means that you can walk however you want and still somehow get non bouncy footage :D
H8 my RS2! Thing constantly drifts and ruins my footage making useless and causing me more work. I’ve done everything to fix to no avail. If DJI doesn’t find anything wrong. I’m selling it.
I did a review and found many issues with the RS2 but at the same time it’s amazing. So I kept it. Also the small rig plates for it also slip when using heavier setup. It’s truly, a shit show.
The problem with those is it only gives you one point of contact screw vs 2 on bigger plates. It can cause a rotating camera depending on gear. I have an old moza gimbal. It's amazing but not much payload.

1. Base plate: you can unscrew the tightening screw and losen it up. Then put it back together and your plate should fit in. I did it myself. Look it up on YT. There are videos about it. 2. I really don't understand how you got such wobbly pictures while having the camera on a gimbal. Even with camera stabilizers off, it should never look like your footage. 3. Learn to walk properly and your footage looks super smooth. You dont need a $3,000 rig for that. 4. Why do you own gimbals when you don't use them or not even try to learn how to use them?
I concur! I felt into the trap of purchasing one 3 years ago and barely used it! You can shoot hand held with good technique and stabilize in post quite a lot. What I hated the most was balancing the camera and how bulky they are in your bag
Given how much they sell and how they continue to make more updates to the lines (not to mention new companies popping up making them), it clearly shows they do have a solid clientele.

Ummm... Look what a small and cheap gimbal setup is doing for NFL player shots on the field. It's all that people talked about in 2021. The look is amazing compared to the older and bigger gimbals.
5:00 - Sounds like you were very "enamored" by the RS2's build quality.
I needed this review, thanks guys.
Lee how am I just discovering your CZcams!!?? I love it!!
I believe Smallrig makes a plate that lets you use the little Manfrotto (323?) plates.
Thanks! Helpful video!

Why do half of the reviews for this on BH say it doesn't fit?
What gimbals do y’all recommend for recording with a sony a7iii?

YES DJI gimbals are scams
9:22 how is it smaller for travelling if you say in the same video that the rs2 packs up smaller than the zhiyun?

Is it really arca swiss? I heard some people saying it isn't and Smallrig actually released a DJI RS2 plate with arca swiss quick release.

Those sample shots were baffling....You dont need a bigass rig to not see the bounce..you just need to walk right 😨
